Regular haircuts take too much time out of life, so when my hair gets too long, I use these to hold it up out of my way.They hold tight. The tips meet instead of going cockeyed. They are nondescript. (I am not trying to call attention to the mess.) Made of metal, they won't break easily.When someone needs something done and a pro is not an option, I have plenty of clips for the job.

These hold my hair beautifully and so far have been durable. So easy to use with no discomfort. Would definitely buy again (and have as gifts for friends..lol)

Sturdy without pulling my hair out.

I use to buy great plastic alligator clips to put up my hair to get it off my shoulders. Then they disappeared and I have been left with online choices for the most part. These metal ones are solid just a tad shorter than I would have liked. Overall, I am glad I got these for their value and to use mainly in the shower or around the house. At this size, they don’t really hold up my hair if using them to hold down a full “bun” or twist of a full head of hair.

These clips keep my hair in place on the windiest days, and during the most strenuous activities. I keep them in all of my bags, my desk at work, and in my car, so they're always available whenever I need one. Word of warning, it usually beeps going through TSA, so you will have to remove it from your hair and send it through in your purse. One agent said it looked like it could be used as a weapon, and almost confiscated it.Great product, I've bought them several times, not because they break, but because I tend to lose them. Another positive, the color doesn't scratch or bub off, they always look clean and neat in your hair. RECOMEND!

Many, many years ago, a name brand manufacturer that sold hair clips in local drug stores made a Concord clip out of plastic. Since it was plastic, it didn't last forever, so I'd occasionally have to re-purchase. I didn't mind it so much, as I have fine hair that doesn't have a lot of volume, and those clips actually did a great job of holding my hair up. They were super useful. I loved them. Then, one day, they vanished. At first, I was fairly panicked. I searched eBay = no luck. I shopped Amazon = nope. At some point I came to peace with the fact that I'd never find a Concord clip that I could wear out in public again (sure, maybe there were some made that looked like they were for salon use, but who would wear that out in public?). Every once in a while, when I was experiencing the sadness that not have one of those clips in my arsenal would bring, the feelings of nostalgia and longing would wash over me and I'd go on the internet searching in vain. Oh, the time I'd wasted looking.Then, one magical day, in the midst of yet another messy hair clip fiasco and one very sad looking pony tail, I searched again.WHAT?A *PACK* OF THEM? IN METAL???I couldn't place my order quickly enough. I counted days. I checked the mail. Stalked my own porch. When they arrived (quickly), I immediately took to my mirror, twisted my hair up, and CELEBRATED. These hold my hair securely. They're minimalist so they go with just about everything. They look good. They're sturdy. I HAVE AN ENTIRE PACK OF THEM. I did give one to one of my sisters, because she, too, knows this struggle. I'm going to purchase another pack of them so that I have them everywhere and am ready for the zombie apocalypse. I will never be without Concord clips again!I highly recommend these. They're awesome, and one of my favorite purchases here on Amazon of all time.

I love these clips. They have great tension (for even thick hair) and a sharp enough point on the end to part the hair cleanly.

I use these clips on wash day to separate my hair while I de-tangle and style. The clips are strong and solid. They have a little weight to them. They stay in place and don't slip off. I actually like them until it is time to open them and you have products on your fingertips. The smooth sleek design then becomes a problem to hold and open. My frustration grows as I struggle to open it. A great improvement would be to redesign with some sort of texture where it is pinched to open. For this reason alone I rate 3 stars.
