A definative DVD of Gamma Ray thus far
If you are a Gamma Ray fan and just stumbled upon this DVD... GET IT !!!Song selection is great and the video and audio are top notch. I had not purchased any of their previous DVD's but after seeing them on the "Hellish Rock" Tour with Helloween, purchasing this was a no brainer. I have all of their CD's but this DVD really puts their career into perspective. Watching it, you get the feeling that the guys behind Kai are as much a part of the evolution of Gamma Ray as Kai is. Granted, he was the guitar player of arguably THE premiere German Power Metal band Helloween, but you can tell by watching the DVD that his band-mates are not hired guns but rather a part of the band which has made it what it is today. The musicianship of Dirk, Dan, and Henjo are as great as expected. My personal favorites are "Gardens of the Sinner", "Somewhere out in Space" and "Land of the Free". Although these are classics, the whole DVD rocks. In the bonus footage, you see the fun they have on tour. More importantly, you see the success story of someone (Kai Hansen) who took a chance leaving safety (Helloween) behind and just going for it! Because he seems like such a good guy, you get the impression that the rest of the band just tear it up and rock the world FOR Kai and FOR their fans. FIVE stars... no question about it !

Gamma Ray Live and at their best
Big fan of Kai Hansen from the Hellowen Days and I like Gamma Ray. This DVD is a great compilation whether to see them live or for a new fan to check out what they're about. Everybody in the band is at their peak- Hansen's vocals and guitar, Henjo's leads, Dirk's bass-playing or Daniel's relentless pounding(he's an awesome drummer- fantastic and effortless double bass palying). Song selection is very cool. Production both audio and video is fantastic- no complaints anywhere. Buy it, enjoy it!

Good, but...
This is a good show (right here in Montreal!). I really like Gamma Ray. My only complaint about this show is that there are too many older songs. Hey, don't get me wrong... I like those songs. But this is supposed to be in the MAJESTIC tour. So why only 2 songs from Majestic and 5 from Land of the Free??? Otherwise... get it. It's good!

"Man On A Mission", "Heavy Metal Universe" - Mitsingspielchen inklusive & "Send Me A Sign" dürfen im Set sowieso nicht fehlen, während "The Silence" und "Dream Healer" zwei kleine Überraschungen bieten.
