Just buy this.
This thing is incredible. Anyone with severe back problems, who have achieved the ability to endure any pain, will love the relief it gives. I have used this 4 times over the last two days, and the results for me are pain relief and an awesome general feeling in my back.

It Works…take a chance and buy it. Looks beautiful in home ..like art.
This thing was recommended by the “Midwestern Doctor”. I have had other rolling back devices so was skeptical. they never did much. My husband had chronic lower back problems , so I took a chance on having another device that might not work and turn into clutter in our home. Wow !! Am I glad I did..First of all, the thing really works!! It works way better than the chiropractor..(no more copays)..paid for this thing, many times over! the other thing is , the solid wood is beautiful !! Nice enough to be left out for all to see and not become forgotten. No more moaning about back pain. It also helped my shoulder neck problems.🙂

slightly different than expected...very well made with nice materials
This came up when I searched "Ma roller”.....it is NOT that brand. It is nicely made with good materials but it may measure a little bit differently. I think the bumps may be a tiny bit further apart. For me it seems slightly less effective...it also seems s bit smaller than the brand I searched for. If you have no expectationsI think you will be a happy customer. watch your search results. Amazon may have a bot keywording search results..andthat can be useful if you are forewarned. I did not scrutinize the search results before ordering, My slight dissapointment may not be any reflection on the vendor. It is well made and generally fairly advertized..just my lazy reading of search results caused my only issuein this instance. I don’t have a large frame. 5’4” female.

Wonderful for the Erector Spinae (vertical back) muscles
This back roller is my new favorite thing! I exercise (cardio and weights), I stretch, I see a chiropractor regularly, and I get a therapeutic massage every two months. Unfortunately, I also work in a chair 6-8 hours a day, after a long driving commute. This means a very tight back and hip area. I purchased this to supplement my exercise and stretching routine. I also have very tight lower back muscles (natural default, unfortunately); keeping them flexible and stretched out is my solution to no back pain. I use my back roller for about 5 minutes, 2-3 times a day, depending on how tense I am feeling. I start with my middle back. I support myself according to the directions, and relax into the prongs. I hold myself there for 3 deep, slow breaths, then move the roller down, rinse and repeat. I hold the pressure for 5 breaths when I get to my lower back, and I use it safely all the way down to my SI joints (the dimples in the back of the hips). Then, I reverse the process, and work back up to my middle back. After my time with my back roller, I feel amazing. My entire body feels looser, and more balanced. My hip and leg muscles relax, and my lower back allows itself to unclench. Because of these results, I have started using it before and after a workout session; I have noticed improved results, both in performance and post-workout recovery, in just two sessions! If it seems too good to be true, just remember -- the muscles on either side of the spine support your entire human body in a vertical position, all day long. This back roller provides direct pressure, just like a masseuse would, and makes it very simple to self-massage areas of the body that are normally difficult to access. It does take some getting used to, and it's crucial to read the directions carefully and proceed as far as your body is comfortable with. With proper use, this tool can become invaluable - it certainly is for me! I am already looking for a more compact version to bring with me to work.

Melts tension away
You should NOT use this if you have any spine injuries. The roller is made of wood, though it's not one solid piece, which was somewhat disappointing. The rubber rings on each end do a good job of keeping it from sliding around as you roll on it. I work at a computer all day long and have problems with tightness in my neck and back almost constantly, in spite of daily workouts. I got the back roller a couple of weeks ago and have used it a half dozen times since then. It comes with a four-page write-up that's completely useless and reads like it's been written by a non-native English speaker on drugs. To use the back roller, you put in on a hard surface and lie down so that your neck falls in the groove between the two bumps. You then bend your knees, put your hands behind your head and gently push upward with your feet so that the roller rolls a little farther down your neck. You stop as soon as you feel any tension and stay there for a couple of minutes and repeat until you get down to your lower back, making sure your spine stays in the groove the entire time. The point is not really to roll but rather to let the bumps press into the erector muscles and relax away any knots. It works great and definitely helps relieve tension in the rhomboid muscles, which is a huge problem for me and usually for anyone who spends their day sitting in front of a computer. The first time I use it (I usually do two or three runs-through from neck to lower back), it hurts A LOT but I definitely feel better afterwards and it works the knots out better than the Shiatsu massager I have. Overall, I think this is a must-have is you have back pain, though it only really helps if the pain is muscle strain and it works better on the upper and middle back than the lower back because of the way the spine curves.

Love this tool
I use this by laying on it and using my body weight to roll out muscles along my neck and spine and crack/adjust my spine. Best tool I've ever found for this purpose. And I've used a lot of massage and muscle tools. HUGE pain relief for tough tight muscles that won't budge. Well worth the price. Very well-made and solid, very sturdy wood. Could last a lifetime. Only drawback is minor: rubber ring on one end frequently rolls off with use. Easy to put back on but you need to check the tool and floor after each use so you don't lose it.

Not as useful as expected
I bought this roller hoping it would be able to target my upper back and neck. The build quality of the roller feels great. It is a solid wood material and the rubber ends was a good thought to keep it from sliding on the ground. However, the polished finish was much too smooth and it didn't have enough traction to dig into my back. Instead, I feel like my back would just slip up and down off of it without any force really being applied to my muscles themselves. I had high hopes for this product, but it was overall letdown for the intended purpose.
