Simple Pet Tropical Flakes – 1 lb Fish Food

My tanks are geared towards turtles. The fish, guppies and mollies, are secondary.Having said that, the fish are eating this up. Since the fish live on different layers of my 150 gallon tank, those at the bottom are eating everything that sinks. No accumulation at all.Like other reviewers I noticed the red flakes are eaten last, though not completely ignored, so I held back one star.So, as a mass fish food this is perfect in my opinion.

i don't know much about quality but the fish seem to like it. it's a good deal from what i normally buy... in the bag it doesn't seem like much more but i refilled a previous can and it's more than twice as much as the that can. because of the bag the flakes are not big and whole like the picture, which isn't something i mind. fish still eat it and i have to grind some up for babies anyhow.i would buy again.

It would be nicer if these flakes were a little larger and less prone to powder up. Good for small fish but a big mess to feed your larger fish and clouding the water becomes an issue. I'm putting some in my food processor and then pouring the slurry in my fruit roll-up trays and putting them in my trustry Nesco food dehydrator! I then have larger sections for my larger fish.

First bag of this stuff shipped in a box with other items I had purchased, flakes were good sized. They do sink faster than name brands but it doesn't matter in my tank. Second time I ordered this was a different story. Ordered it by itself, it came in a padded envelope. Flakes were more like powder, clouds water, unacceptable. I returned it.

I read some reviews of this where people claimed the fish don't really like this. My friends, fish are stupid. They have tiny little brains. They would eat donkey poop if I put it in the tank. My fish are more than grateful for this food. It keeps them alive and it costs me less than Tetra-min. This is all I ask.

great alternative to buying fish food at the store that costs three times the cost. I bought this product twice and it lasts several months per bag (55g fish tank, 10 gal fish tank, 20 gal turtle tank). Yes, the pieces can be crumbled, but the fish really do not care. If they want more, they go for the extra pieces. I have not bought a fish in 2 years as the current ones are either still living or have produced offspring to maintain the overall population of fish! With that said, I think this product does what is required; feeds the fish!

My fish like the flakes, I was pleased that the flakes were large and not ground into dust in the bag. The flakes do sink very quickly more so than other types I've used. My bottom feeders clean up the mess. Not sure if I will purchase this product again.

This is a great deal for the price. However, sometimes it is smashed into very small pieces. The packaging could be better. My fish do like it and it is good for small fish. I also use crisps and brine shrimp for the larger fish to compensate for the tiny pieces.
