As noted in other reviews, this scale is TINY and is only meant to weigh small quantities. However, we use small, light metal bowls to weigh out our salt and yeast for all of our artisan bread recipes. We always weigh our ingredients and we were never able to find a scale sensitive enough for these 1-2 gram increments. We have used it several times and are impressed by the accuracy . The only fiddly thing about it is a short (2-3 second) lag between adding ingredients and when the weight changes, so you need to add some salt/yeast, wait a bit for a beep, then add more. This is not a complaint, but just a heads up! Great scale.

I am a messy baker, and spill liquids, flour, and batter all over this and it never malfunctions. I just clean it and repeat. This scale is great for ingredients like salt and other ingredients where you may want 6.2 grams. If you tried that with a regular scale, you could get 5 or 7 grams.

I've had this scale for two years now and it works great! Yesterday I dropped it about six inches onto the counter top and it started giving bad readings. I was about to re-order the same scale and realized I had not changed the battery since I bought it. Popped a new 9v Duracell in and it's good to go. It's only use is to weigh coffee beans everyday. The 9v battery lasts a long long time and the fact that you don't have to plug this into a wall outlet make it great. All in all it seems to be very durable as I take it on road trips, the boat, dropped it and hasn't failed me yet!

I got this scale to measure food for a diet at work. It is not really designed for that role, since it is hard to put a bowl or similar on the plate, though I've learned to use a paper cup to make a platform. I still use it for diet purposes at work. It has a somewhat cheap feel, owing to being so light. Comes with a calibration weight and a leatherette case.

I needed a very accurate scale to measure small portions of expensive perscription dog food for my little dog. It helps me avoid wasting the food. This scale works great for that purpose but it is really small. I won't use it for my other cooking measurements.

Maybe I got a defective product but battery doesn't connect well and had to add some cardboard to push it up and connect better but still disconnects from time to time and scale is not accurate either

I use this scale to measure coffee for roasting and brewing. It is just ok and very cheaply made. The "on" button rubbed off almost immediately. It only gives to the nearest gram. No decimals. It is slow to adjust when adding or subtracting beans and gives slightly different readings. It just isn't accurate enough if that is what you need.

I make expresso and a delayed reading makes this scale useless for getting a proper extract. If you just need to measure ingredients this scale is fine.

Yo ya había utilizado esta báscula pero ya no la pude conseguir, usé otras básculas pero no fue lo mismo. Esta báscula es muy fácil de usar, es precisa y nos facilita el trabajo de la tortillería.

Durable, accurate and reliable

Works great. Pricey in my opinion, but I bought it, so I guess not more pricey than is reasonable. Love that it has fractions of grams. Great for helping me keep my small sourdough starter.
