It was a bit difficult to configure (but I am certainly no computer wiz!) Instructions are quite vague! I tried to use my PC, and couldn't seem to get anywhere. I ended up using my smartphone, which was still complicated. I had to turn off my data and wifi to configure, but I finally got it working. I am sending wifi from my router out through a patio door around 400 foot to my workshop, where I have this Vonets repeater hanging in the window. Its set on the standard power setting and has fantastic range! I can now pick up wifi nearly anywhere on my 5 acre property!

Junk - does not work - I am a network engineer, and I can assure you - this item I received has bad buggy firmware, it simply will not connect to any hotspot! Also, the interface is really crummy and bad ingrish. Chinese junk. No firmware updates are available either...

I am using this device as a regular access point and as a bridge, and it works fine. The signal power is good, but not the speed, but it is ok. Yes, it is for interior use only. The value for that price it is very good.

hey all ,just to give you a heads up , initially I gave this product a great review , after using 3 of these wifi adapters in a industrial warehouse , I can tell you that they do not last , after about a week the devices malfunctioned and currently unable to start the firmware on the devices.spent the extra few bucks and get the Linksys WES610N , even if you are using it for just 1 device , it's worth it.please do not waste your time on this device , is is not recommended for use in industrial environment or any environment where interference is an issue. The firmware has 0 updates / improvements since the initial release of this product , please be aware , there is also 0 customer support.use at your own risk.

This product makes absolutely no difference in your signal strength. AT ALL!

PROS: 1) Despite the very brief and poorly English translated documentation provided, the unit was easy to configure and quickly put into service. 2) Size: the unit is fairly small (a bit smaller than a cigarette pack).CONS: 1) This product is not an outdoor design... nothing about it would allow its use in an environment where there is ANY rain or snow. 2) No 12V power device is provided so you have to purchase this separately. 3) The Ethernet cable is way too short (10 inches) to be useful and the cable is not designed with weather tight connector so it will fail immediately when it gets wet. 4) Price. Way too high for this device considering the problems. 5) It gets extremely warm after just a short time... really don't think this will last when it gets hot here in the summer (Arizona). 6) Despite its size, it cannot be placed in a weatherproof box because it cannot pickup a wireless signal from router to allow it to act as wireless AP / bridge.

This little device is good for what I use it for. I have exterior cameras that doesn't quite reach the base with the signal they have. So I use this and it works better than I ever expected.
