Really fast! Really fun! Just wish the cars were better matched.
I purchased this track for my 10 y/o son as a Christmas gift. The set is all that is advertised and more! It arrived in a timely manner and the contents were very professionally packaged. Assembly was fairly easy following the instruction sheet provided. The coolest thing is that there are 3 different speed settings (beginner, intermediate and expert) for this track. I would advise staying away from expert mode. The cars are very fast and will jump the track at almost every curve. Intermediate mode allows the cars to traverse the track really fast and our cars never jumped the track!Now, the negative: The track comes with 2 cars; a red one and a blue one. With our set, the red car is very dominant! When I say dominant I mean superior. It easily outpaces the blue car and will also lap it within two or three laps!!! This makes racing unfair to whomever is controlling the blue car. We've tried switching tracks, controllers, cleaning the contacts, cleaning the tires, and reversing directions. Nothing seems to work.My son really loves this track and for that I am happy. However, it looks like I'll be spending more money to purchase an additional car(s) so that racing on this track can be fun. I've researched the cars and they average anywhere from the low $30's to mid $40 per car!!! Ouch!Anyways, if you like slot cars this set is definitely a great one that can be enjoyed not only by your son but the entire family.

Great HO slot car set!
HO slot car enthusiasts will love this one. Everything you need to get going beyond the normal starter sets. The 8-, 12- and 22-volt track setting is a very nice feature. The cars that come with this set are fast and really hug the track. You will like this one!

I bought this for myself, came perfectly packaged, this was tough to put together.. def. lay it out before you connect track,, you will have to tweek it to get it to come together,, lots of tweeking,, once its put together,, awesome track, I set it up on a 4 x 8 piece of plywood ,, fit perfect,
