Well Made, Good fun, and a Great Price
We bought this toy after our son was attempting to "ride" a tricylce to keep up with his older sister. After having seen another friend's son speed along on the Scoot-About, we knew we had found the type of "bike" we needed for a 23 mth old. It's fairly easy to put together, and surprisingly compact (in a good way). I love the adjustable seat because he will definitely get a lot more time into riding this Scoot-About. It's a fun little thing; even our 5 year old climbs on and takes it for spins around the house (yes, this is a great indoor toy!). Radio Flyer always makes such great products, and we're definitely content with this one. If you're thinking about it, buy it! UPDATE: It's been a year, and our son is now 2 1/2 and still using this product. Best of all, is that this product has sat outside in the rain and the sun, and the colors haven't faded AT ALL. For any of you that have watched toys fade outside, you know how amazing this is! Even the metal is still "rust free," despite the fact that it's now an outdoor toy, gets wet, and doesn't get wiped down. Would I buy it again? Absolutely!

Nice quality and performance
I bought this for my daycare and it is a favorite for the kids who can't peddle yet. I like that it has a bike seat so the little guys feel like they are ridding a bike. Some riders require the kids to spread their knees too far apart and that means they can't move their feet as well and some riders have the back tires spread so far that their heels hit them. This one is set up just right so they can zip around just as fast as their legs can go. I also really like that the seat adjusts to accommodate different sized kids. I would say the ideal age for this is 2 bit I have kids 18 months to 3 who ride it. Just like all the Radio Flyer products this is built to last with nice heavy duty parts.

My son loves it!
We bought this for our nearly-two year old so that he had something comparable but safe to go with the scooters that we bought for our older two for Christmas. Assembly was super easy and he loves riding around on it. I don't think he'll be able to use it past this season because it is so low to the ground, but he likes it well enough that I still think we'll get a lot of use out of it. We love the cute little bell and streamers and we love that he doesn't fall too far when he really gets going and then tumbles off. Overall, we'd definitely buy it again and we're satisfied with the quality we would expect from Radio Flyer.

Awesome gift for my grandson
My grandson is very active just learning to walk. I thought this might be a great gift. It turns out he just absolutely loves that. He gets around indoors and outdoors. It’s very convenient and easy to move. Not too heavy easy to travel with and he loves it. I really recommend this for kids. It stays out of the way of his feet and he gets a great seat very sturdy. Very nice little toy. Reminds me of when I was a little boy.

A nice well made Scoot About
Its really a nice item and made very well. It is real easy to put together. All the screws, nuts and bolts work fine. Reading some of the comments there were complaints about the steering being hard to turn, the red caps that hold the wheels on to the axle, and the seat that is leaning forward. To solve the tight steering, before you put on the white cap, take a small sheet of sandpaper, roll it up to fit into the hole of the white cap and twist the sandpaper in order to open up the hole. Continue to sand and fit until the cap moves freely on the shaft. When done, put a small dab of petroleum jelly on the sanded area and continue to put the scoot together. A quick way to install the red caps is to place the cap on the axle and using tape, make an X with the tape from the cap top onto the whites of the wheel. That will hold the cap so you can tap it onto the axle.(Note: I placed the other end of the axle against a solid area before I tapped on the red cap.) Finally, to solve the seat problem I took two strips of sandpaper and glued them to the seat. No more slipping off the seat.

Great Quality.... But Smaller than I Expected
Our daughter had been watching jealously as other kids in our neighborhood moved about on tricycles, big wheels, and bikes. We first tried a very cheap tricycle but the balance was terrible and our daughter was frustrated by the pedals. So the Scoot-About seemed like the perfect transition "vehicle" for our 20 month old before she moves on to a tricycle and/or a balance bike. The quality on this is outstanding. It is solid, well built, and well balanced. I don't have any worries about my daughter tipping over and she was quick to take to it and is now able to work up a decent head of steam as she scoots around the house or outside. Her enjoyment of it was limited by the lack of a basket at first because she couldn't ride it and carry her water, blanket, and/or stuffed animals. But some string, duct tape, and a cardboard box combined to make a serviceable basket and now she won't get off it. What keeps it from being four stars is the size of it. My daughter is a big girl, at the very top of the growth charts in height and weight. So she's not a typical 20 month old but even so I'm surprised by how small this thing is for her. It's just too small and I expect she'll fully outgrow it well before she hits two years old. I understand that Radio Flyer can't account for the many sizes of children and we never expected that this would last her to three years old because of how big she is. But we certainly hoped that it would get her to 2 1/2 and that's clearly not the case. Even with the seat at it's highest her knees are quite bent and she struggles to push off. Some of the time she actually doesn't sit on the seat but straddles the Scoot-About and walks it while holding the handlebars. Also, she constantly gets her heels caught up in the back wheels. She can only take the tiniest of little steps/pushes if she is to avoid hitting her heels. So if you have a kid who is on the bigger side be aware that he/she might outgrow it well before they hit three years of age.

Fantastic tricycle for my 2 year old. The narrow rear wheels make it easier for her to climb on. Also it’s easy for her to push and steer on her own. It looks slick too, and very sturdy.

It's still hidden in the box as it's a Christmas present . But it arrived earlier than expected & the box is in good order . A no problem purchase & excellent service. I'm sure the child will love it . Will upside with the larger trike from these sellers when needed .
