As I on;y use my kettle once a day fpr my morning coffee. when my old one stopped workinand g. Literally bought the cheapest one I could find and paid less that £20 for next day delivery. Arrived on time. nice simple and has a base so can lift off to pour which makes it easier for me. Very good value and quick service for the cost!

As soon as I took it out of the box I was uncomfortable with it's set-up. I can't fathom why on earth the cable would lead from the front of the kettle. If you had to quickly switch off at the plug and socket for any reason you risk scorching yourself on the steam coming from the spout. Anyway, I tried boiling it. It rumbled and boiled, and rumbled and boiled then the lid popped up! Water ran down the outside.The other problems? I really don't know how I didn't notice them before boiling. Where the base plugs into the kettle when you put the kettle down on the base, it's wide open, you can actually see bare wires in the photo, there is only a thin plastic sleeve on the bare wire. Had I had enough common sense to inspect it first I wouldn't have done a trial boil. Also, when emptying the kettle from it's trial boil a piece of plastic came out with the water. It can be seen in the other photo balanced on the edge. It's a piece of plastic broken off the rim. Highlighted with the red arrows.I don't know if this is how these kettles are normally sent out, but certainly this one of mine seems extremely dangerous to me and is going straight back to Amazon.I want to blame Amazon for selling these kettles but that is letting the other culprits off the hook. Is there not some sort of UK check goes on, a check to ensure that when electrical equipment is safe to use and not going to kill someone. Import rules and regulators are more to blame than Amazon because they shouldn't be allowed into the country.If this is standard Geepas quality then I won't be purchasing their equipment again. It's disgraceful.

Good little Kettle ignore the bad reviews - they must have had very bad luck. No need to dismantle anything!

I bought this as a travel kettle but found it slightly on the small side. But I replay like it and worth it . It’s simple and easy and quick to boil. I would recommend it to anyone

Defective product. Smells strongly of solvents or cheap plastic. The smell also transfered a toxic taste to the water making it unusable. No idea how this could have happened, the smell and taste did not go away after I had tried the thing for 10 cycles attempting to clean it of maybe manufacturers impurities.Unsusable
