good show
I got hooked on this show a few months ago. Kind of goofy, but still a good crime drama with romantic tension in the air. What more can you ask?I tend to be a TV snob, watching mostly documentaries and movies that have some artistic or social quality. That doesn't mean I'm too good for some basic, fun to watch entertainment, and this does the job. Castle's character is a successful millionaire, but just goofy and vulnerable enough, plus ok looking but not over the top good looking to keep him from seeming somewhat believable. Beckett's character is so good looking, confident, and successful that it's hard to imagine her ever seeing anything in Castle, but the chemistry is undeniable and they use that to tease the viewer into coming back episode after episode and season after season. The plots are, for the most part, original and refreshing, but far enough from reality that you have to just go along and stop reminding yourself that these things would never happen in real life and that nobody would survive the predicaments that confront the characters on each episode. I am former law enforcement and know that none of the things on this should would ever happen, but again ... I don't care. Sometimes you just need to escape reality for an hour or two.One of the real surprises for me has been Susan Sullivan. After watching her as the uptight Kitty Montgomery on Dharma and Greg, I couldn't have imagined her playing any other character. In Castle, she plays Martha - Castle’s whacky mother, who is an over-the-top, past her prime actress, with a multitude of character flaws, but who is nonetheless lovable.

My favorite Crime scene the best
Of course Nathan Fillion the best actor and talent and funny and fun and adventure and Stana Katic the best actress talent and amazing and adventure. I know her and him watching First time castle and beckett season 1 after dancing with the stars 13 years ago when I was freshman year high school.. I did watching Nathan Fillion catching up soap opera One life to live and buffy and vampire and firefly and waitress and Stana katic jag and the closer and alias and er and 24 and heroes. 👮♂️👮♀️❤🙂

Been a fan of Nathan Fallon since Firefly.
What's great about this show is it never takes itself too seriously.

A perfect series!
I am always afraid that the Castle series will lose its spark, that it will become boring, and that it will end. But this season, as all the others, is just as exciting, humorous, and romantic as the previous. Some are light, and some are thrilling. The last two kept me on the edge of my seat. I could feel the stress that Kate was feeling, still, when she returned. Just as I often wonder whether or not the series will retain its popularity and end, by the look on Kate's face, I wondered if the stress of the job, and dealing with the last and returning evil-doers, was finally taking its toll. I can't say enough about this series. I came to it late, in reruns, watched them when I could, and then bought all of the previous seasons. And, I will be buying this one too. The writers are excellent, as are the actors. I like the whole cast, and I will continue to watch this series. My husband enjoys it too, and he is a tougher critic than I am. Continued success to this show!

I liked the series
This is the only season I didn't have and when I found that you have to rent the series on Amazon prime and FRNDLY, I decided it would be cheaper to just buy the last series . . . think it is cheap of Amazon to make people who pay for PRIME rent movies and series on top of the PRIME fee.

Family safe fare with a good blend of suspense, romance, and humor
It is a great series, and the cast certainly has a good rhythm going by this point. There are some disappointing things that happen relationship-wise in this season, and I don't want to give too much away, but some were surprising.I did not like the police captain in the previous three seasons, and I did not warm up to her in this one. She is not cheering for team Castle, and by this point you figure that she would be.The Kate and Richard madly in love romance at the beginning of the season comes off as a bit forced too. (We found out years after the fact that this was actually true, and unfortunately it shows in the acting.)All in all, it is reasonably family safe fare with a good blend of suspense, romance, and humor.

"Castle, you have no idea..."
I don't normally review shows online but I just felt compelled to with this. Castle Season 7 continues the seemingly effortless success of the previous 6 seasons. If you're in two minds as whether to buy this then don't be. Katic's performance goes from strength to strength whilst Fullion's remains consistent and hilarious as ever. Tangents to the main story line are well constructed and delivered. There are good episodes, there are OK episodes and there are great episodes as ever but the completion of any such episode always left me with a sense of '...I'm just going to watch 5 more minutes before bedtime...' regardlessI initially watched the 1st episode of the 1st season of Castle in a spare moment, courtesy of my Amazon Instant Video subscription and I'm so glad I did. Since then I've watched religiously the 'will they / won't they' antics of Castle and Beckett, laughing, smiling and desperately hoping the whole time for the inevitable union. The funny moments make me laugh out loud, the emotional moments warm the heart and the tense moments keep you wanting for more.Season 7 continues to blend loving and inspiring moments in and around the standard murder/cop show. The closeness between the two main characters is beautifully woven and rationed so as to keep you wanting for more and fulfilled when delivered. Comedy and quips remain in abundance and the performance and delivery is always second-perfect.Finally, the show encourages the viewer to enjoy every moment in life and I recommend the same approach with this show. With 7 seasons under the belt and an 8th already airing, its hard to know how many more the team, network and storyline can sustain. My advice; Watch this, enjoy it, take from it what you can and hope for more of the same and better once season 8 is more widely available (in the UK).What a great show. Can't wait for more.

Mostly excellent
I've loved Castle right from the first episode. This season has all the same, brilliant ingredients: wonderful chemistry between Castle and Becket (despite them now being married), great acting all round, quirky humour, excellent writing (for the most part), return of a serial killer. But I was so disappointed over the opening episode - it was so much like 'and it was all a dream'; such a cop out! Then they walked away from Castle's disappearance for so long that I thought they were going to ignore it altogether, but no, they came back to it. In some ways I wish they hadn't bothered. At least next time I watch the series I could have skipped the first episode. But they decided to try to explain where Castle had been after all. And I don't believe it for a moment - it was such a weak storyline. The season would have been better without it. Hence the loss of a star. But the rest of the season was well up to standard, and I look forward to season 8.

Entertaining low violence thriller.
So far I've only seen the 1st 6 seasons. I'm writing this review under the heading of season 7 because Amazon doesn't allow you to review older items.I got into Castle after being recommended it by a friend. It was not something I expected to enjoy. However, I found that this program manages to walk an entertaining tightrope involving both light comedy and thriller elements. This is very difficult to do, and Castle is by far the best example of this that I have found. There is a small amount of violence, because each programme starts with a murder having been committed. However, after that, there is very little violence, and no blood. I thoroughly enjoyed this aspect, because they made the story interesting and entertaining without all the usual violence. They still managed to build suspense, and there are several very interesting story arcs.Thoroughly recommended. I have enjoyed 6 seasons so far and I'm looking forward to the 7th.
