This ring could possibly be described as a family heirloom, or at least as an older piece of jewelry. It is only worn occasionally,so I cannot vouch for how sturdy it is but so far as looks go, it is very attractive. The stone is definitely on the purple side of the spectrum, a bit more so than was expected, but it does look like the real thing and has garnered compliments. The mounting is delicate and the side stones are very attractive compliments to the tourmaline. When I want to treat myself inexpensively, I go to this seller and have always been pleased.

This is a very beautiful ring, and one that I looked forward to receiving. It is every bit as brilliant as others have described, and I had received many complements the first time I wore it. The only problem was that, on the first day I wore it, two small stones fell off - one from either side of the ring. Although it is not noticeable given the places it fell from, nonetheless, it was disappointing as I had just received it and wore it that one time. I realize the price is amazing, but, nonetheless, no one making a purchase does so with the expectations of having a faulty product. That being said, my opinion of this ring and its design was not affected because it truly is such a beautiful ring.

I love the design of it. This image on Amazon appears to be clear or with a purple hue. My stone doesn't appear as this image. So I'm VERY disappointed as my favorite color is PURPLE. (see photo)
