I've used this for two of my dogs in renal failure. This product works VERY WELL when used in conjunction with other supplements and proper diet. My dogs were diagnosed last September with high CREA/BUN and had all the usual kidney issues associated with the disease... lack of appetite, loose stools, lethargy. I feed a raw diet so diet was good...those feeding dry kibble need to change to a home-cooked or raw diet as the kidneys must work much harder with kibble (even K/D kibble). Rehmannia 8 and Renadyl I give twice a day and 1000mg of Omega 3 Fish oil 3 times a day. Kidney disease is manageable if you do your research, though it will never be cured.

My one dog has kidney disease. She is a small dog. So I cut them in half with a pill cutter. I give her half tablet in the AM an hour before she eats and half tablet in the PM at least two hours after she eats. My dog's BUN and Creatinine levels normalized. The key is taking these on an empty stomach as they help filter the toxins out of her system. She is doing amazing!!! My Vet is astonished.

I like this form of a tablet. It is the same size as the kibble. I have a better chance of getting my dog to take it.

I used this for my 12 year old dog with late stage kidney failure (B.U.N. level = 150-200, very high creatinin and phosphorus too). I used this twice daily for several weeks, but sadly it didn't lower her levels when we checked her blood again. She was only getting worse with time. Holistic vets claim this works to restore kidney function. Maybe it does something if the kidney issue is caught very early. As I understand it, the function of this herb mix is to increase circulation to more quickly process the blood and get rid of the building toxins. Don't get your hopes up for a miracle cure, but give it a shot if your dog is not too far along.
