I'm shocked they claim these are "tear resistant." I thought these would be perfect to use in our Rubbermaid 50-gal rolling trash container. They are wider than most 55-gal bags (3ft.1in.), so assumed they would easily stretch enough to pull tightly over the top lip of the can. After all, I've always been able to do the same with bags that are an inch less wide if I was careful. Nope, not even close. They don't stretch at all, not in the least little bit. Instead they just tear a nice, long, uniform rip down the middle of the bag, rendering it useless. Unless you are using these bags for purposes that don't require any stretching of the opening, then don't bother.
