I love it... with some tiny reservations.
I needed a duplex scanner, and this little guy fills the bill nicely. It sits on my desk, taking up very little space, it's one BRIGHT blue eye (I put translucent tape over it - several layers were necessary to dim the LED down to a manageable level!) shining at me with what I prefer to believe is unconditional love and devotion.Seriously, this is a nice little duplex scanner for a reasonable price. It has some shortcomings: the paper guides seldom provide perfectly straight scans; the small-document-slot paper sensor is decidedly finicky when fed anything thinner than cardstock; the provided scanning software is "eccentric" in its interface (but works well enough once it is set up). But in general this cute little bundle of digital goodness has done just what I expected, and done it as well or better than the sheetfed scanner in my expensive HP color laser/scanner multifunction printer.I've had it over a year and it has just worked. When it gets one of its infrequent paper jams (they ALL do, this is as good as any I've used) it is very easy to clear, since you just lift the "mobile" scanner part off and extract the paper. By the way, I never use it as a mobile scanner so I can't really comment on that, except to say that in order to use it that way you'd have to pack another power cord and USB cord.

UPDATE July 2012:SERVICE AFTER SALE IS POOR. The bottom holding tray broke and I call the company to buy one. The price of the item was 19$ and about same price for shipping. It was a nightmare to deal with customer support. After several month, I gave up and just tape it. It is a shame to operate a business like they do. If I have to buy another scanner, due to this bad experience, I will not go again with them, even the scanner is good. When you purchase an item, you have to rely on the company who sell it and you cannot rely on them whosoever.I order this item from Amazon on one day shipping (3.99$), I receive it on Good Friday.Upon arrival, I open the box then install the software. With no help, I could have the scanner up and running in less than 30 minutes.I just do a scan of about 39 Mb and just send it to the recipient. It,s not a piece of art but it work. It is, for me, an essential tool for me, since I can scan and file all the paper document in my hard drive and back up drive. I now benefit of three different location to store my file, one physical and the two oder are software. I make my life also easier, since I can search a big file with key word. Even in 600 resolution, it go pretty fast to me.I read all the review and I comment one of them since it was an unfair review to my point of view. I must add, as a real name user and verified buyer that I was not paid by BuletScan to do this review, I do it since I think the product was easy to setup and run. I don't know if in the long run, it will be reliable, but for the time being, it work. If I improve any problem in the futur, I will comment on this.

purchased December 2010
I purchased the BulletScan S300 from Amazon in December of 2010 for 262.99. It fit all my requirements, and at first I was thrilled. Then, after nearly 2 years the ADF Roller needed replacing. So I contacted ivina.com in late September 2012. They said they would not sell me a roller. I was told to send it to them for repairs. If the scanner was purchased w/i 2 yrs, then the repairs would be covered by warranty, otherwise repair costs would depend on the issue. I asked them if they could supply me with a replacement while I wait for mine to be fixed. She said no. She said I should send her my scanner for repair, but she didn't tell me how; so, I emailed back asking how to go about sending it in for repair. She forwarded the message to bulletscan.com and on October 4th the asked me reply with the serial number, phone number, and mailing address to send the scanner after it has been repaired. After that they would send me an RMA number so I may send it in with my proof of purchase.I gave them the Serial number, my phone and address on Oct. 26. I didn't hear back with the "RMA number" so I inquired again on November 6th. And then they sent me the number I needed. This left me one month to get the form filled out and send it in with the RMA number and my proof of purchase. Unfortunately, I got busy (I run a business from home) and could not give up my scanner. Then I realized my 2 years had just past. So now I would either have to pay for repairs or buy a new scanner. Instead I just clean the roller with rubbing alcohol every time I use it. This is a pain, but I plan on buying a new scanner from Best Buy or Walmart-- somewhere where I can have repairs done locally if need be.

Color Problems
The iVina BulletScan S300 scans quickly and efficiently. The Page Manager software that comes with it frequently crashes. When I scan in color, areas that should be white are a bluish gray. I have contacted customer support but they do not reply well. The feeder is great! It feeds full sized sheets as well as wrinkled receipts. I have not had the feeder pick up more than one sheet at a time. The duplex is great and I took it apart and tried it as a portable and it still functioned well. If I could just get the color right and had a better Page Manager software, it would get a 5+ star rating. iVina BulletScan S300 Duplex Color Sheetfed Scanner with Detachable Mobile Scanner, 15ppm/30ipm, supports Windows and Mac OS (S3001130)

No support for Win 8
I have to say that I have owned this scanner for a couple of years now and used it to scan all receipts and file all documents electronically. It has worked great but as time has gone by, I don't think that the company (ivina) has devoted resources to keeping it's software and firmware up to date. There is no firmware for Windows 8? Come on, get with the program.Integration with Google docs also broke a while ago.The scanner Is also getting stuck now.Time to look for something else.
