These bags are pretty good. We have problems getting them to seal properly once we figured out how to use them correctly. However we use them a lot and one year on most of them don't hold the seal anymore. We use them to store our child's bedding once laundered (she has a dust-mite allergy) so are opening and resealing them a lot.

The bags worked perfectly for me. I think that majority of the people who gave it bad reviews aren't using it right. The bags have two valves the smaller one (which is the one you're supposed to use to vacuum out the air) and the larger one (which i see no purpose for) the larger was loose when i first took it out which could explain the leaking problem that alot of people are having. The incredibly vague instructions don't mention the larger valve, so there's no way to know about it except by playing around with the valve. After you tighten the larger one you should be good. I also recommend going over the zipper more than once. i usually do just to make sure. I also recommend you order the bags from amazon instead of the other sellers.(BTW the larger valve i mentioned is the one shown in the product pictures

Two of them were ripped, so they were worthless. One doesn't seem to be ripped, but it won't hold out the air. The others were fine and for the price, still cheaper than getting them in the store.

Originally I was please and ordered a 2nd set. However it comes with 1 that is not a vacuum seal bag and then I have about half that aren't holding the seal. (even with 1 item in the bag)

My wife and I were "packing up" and moving out of the country. We wanted to maximize not only our shipping container, but also our luggage on the plane. These Vacuum Seal packs were just the ticket! Amazing how much airspace is eliminated. We packed clothing, linens, towels, and pillows. Everything ended up being no more that an inch or two thick.The plastic is pretty tough, too. Only had one incident where the plastic tore. We ended up using these three times each as we traveled back and forth. So, they handled the usage pretty well.

Update to my review on these storage bags. After two days 2 out of the 6 bags started losing their vacuum and the air leaked out. I had no choice but to return these bags and Amazon made that possible without any problems whatsoever with their guaranteed return policy. The bags leaked at the inlet valve and not at the seams.

Held as much as they said but does not hold the vaccum seal gor very long only a couple of days.

I will have to buy more at some point. They really did cut the blanket mass in my house by half. Great, great storage item.
