Love This Plan!!
First, I want to say that I only gave this book 4 stars because I'm not the type of person that Loves reading about science and nutrition. That being said, I love the idea of someone else earning a living by doing all of the research and science about food, our bodies and exercise! Thanks Yuri! I'm on day 14 of the All-Day Fat Burning Diet and here are my thoughts:1. It absolutely works!2. I love my smoothies a little thick, so I always ice.3. I don't need to lose a lot of weight and I wasn't really to give up certain things, so I had 1 cup of coffee with almond milk and 1 glass of red wine each day (yes, even on my Fast days).4. I'm hooked on the Apple Cider Vinegar and water before meals.5. I went through all of the recipes and mixed and match as there were some things I don't eat - that made it much easier.6. I have to say that it was tough to cook meals - mainly lunch with only 1 person on this plan. My husband would eat most of the recipes but I did find myself making multiple meals some nights.7. The Fast - surprisingly I was fine on both days - I wasn't really hungry and had lots of water and tea. I would go about 18-20 hours and have a kale salad with veggies with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dinner.8. So far I've lost 7 pounds! I'm super happy with my progress as what I've been doing for the last 2 weeks is something I can do for life.Yes, it takes some getting use to the recipes and mixing up the days but like anything else, it will get easier each week.I would highly recommend this plan to anyone that is ready to put a little time in to planning their meals - it takes effort but it's totally worth to live a happy and healthy life!Enjoy and good luck!

Not sure if it breaks new ground or rehashes the same old ground... time will tell
I like Yuri, he has some cutting edge stuff, but I'm not sure this is all it's cracked up to be.It all comes down to not eating wheat or dairy, and repeating a 5 day cycle of meal patterns that work out to a calorie deficit, and exercising. Some parts are contradictory, like telling you to not eat dairy, but then telling you that yogurt would neither help nor hurt your efforts...?He doesn't have you count calories because he says they aren't really all that important - but then a bit later puts you on a portion plan counting portions the size of thumb, palm, hand, etc. which amounts to the same thing. Not sure I want to forego bread, pasta, milk, cheese, and the rest - and live on quinoa forever.Strangely, it's gotten 19 five star reviews, and it's only been in print 2 days. There's NO WAY anyone could have tried it for the full 21 days, when it's only been out for two, eh?So, that many positive reviews could have hardly come from anyone who has actually tried the program, unless they had prior exposure.Yuri's followers and his test group comes to mind here. He's asked them to review the book, when it was only out there less than a day.Based on what?In any case, the take home lesson seems to be to cycle your carbs, fast a day in 5, exercise, and don't eat wheat or dairy.Oh, and eat when you are hungry, stop when you are 80% full. You'll lose the fat no matter what you do, if you fast every few days, never eat past 80% full, and exercise. No magic there. On the plus side, it's an inspiring read, a metabolism based diet and exercise approach, and parts are interesting. If the message is new to you, Yuri's book is worth a read.

I have tried so many different diets and fads out there and I have to say this is nothing like I have ever dealt with before
Honestly, I have tried so many different diets and fads out there and I have to say this is nothing like I have ever dealt with before! He starts out by explaining the physiological aspects of over eating and how it affects our hormones, emotions, and lastly our habits and behaviors. The majority of the book is spent breaking all of these things down and the detailed description of the diet and exercise regimen is toward the end. I will admit, about half way through I jumped ahead to get to the "meat and potatoes" of the book. The work outs are manageable and I simply went at my own pace; modifying where necessary by decreasing intensity and even lowering reps depending on how my felt. The food was flavorful and I was always exited to see what the following day had to offer. In my first week I lost 6lbs and I am still currently doing the program...I will be coming back to amend this review once I have completed it....but so far I am off to a GREAT start :) I highly recommend.

Working for me
I read about this diet in a magazine in February 2017, condensed version. I decided to give it a try. I followed the 5 day plan to the letter (I did have 1 coffee per day no cream/sugar) and I lost 2 inches off my stomach (only place I measured prior). I decided to buy the book. I'm glad I read the magazine article first as it was easier to understand the book. I'm in my forties and only struggled with my weight from 35 on. I weighted myself I was 163, after the 21 day cycle I lost 13 pounds and 10 inches, (6 from stomach and 4 from waist). The next month I tried all 3 cycle options for dieting, for me the 21 cycle works best for me. I lost 10 pounds the next month and 4 more inches. Now I'm on my third month and I'm doing the 21 day cycle. I have my own plan of walking/biking and using the kettle weights. I don't use the recipes or the exercise program. There is lots of variety. I weight myself only once a month. There is probably not much in this book you have not already read but for me it just clicked. I like the way the 21 day cycle is set up.I did not give it 5 stars because unless there is a diet that I can eat whatever I want and still be healthy it will never get 5 stars from me.
