Safety is the word of the day
I dont like dying or falling from 20’ or more and these things are worth wearing. Yes, if you are not used to wearing gear like this, or just do not want to do so, you will not like them. If you are used to a lanyard of some type and now wear these, yes, there is a big difference in weight.The performance of these has been outstanding, falling has not been tested and I do not want to do so. The cables have extended and retracted with no hangups. The rubber guards near the hooks have proven their worth in protecting the cables.Purchased mine after the recall, so that was a plus.Wished I had these several years ago when I did fall on two separate occasions and got hurt.

I almost died because of DBI sala’s negligence! No one ever said anything about a recall
I did not know about a recall on them and have been using them for the past few years or so, when I was boomed out in Texas they about pulled me off the iron by locking up and then if I did not double tie off with a yo-yo to my d ring I would be dead. Had to cut the damn bolt to d ring to get these off my harness, such a waste of money and almost my life. They need to be replaced I’m pissed.

Suck to have to use
The product is good. Does what it’s supposed. But don’t use these for ironwork unless you have to. These things are super annoying. They’re constantly pulling on your back, they pull you’re Beamer right up to your heels so you’re tripping over it. They just suck to have to use. But the product does what it’s supposed to

They suck, they wear your body down more.
I hate these things. They are heavy, they hurt my back. I already have to carry around. 6lb hammer, Sleeved bar, two spuds, bolt bag full of bolts, channel locks, quickly-bolt, and a couple markers. Then these insurance lawyers want me to wear a set of these. Give us a break. You pack all this around for 10 hours a day, and tell me it doesn’t break a man down. All of that is on an Exo-fit harness.
