Logic on Fire: The Life and Legacy of D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Spoiler Alert: Once you begin watching this movie, you won’t be able to stop! ‘The Doctor’—The Last Puritan—almost seems as a man “untimely born,” yet, he was unquestionably the right man for the time in which he lived. Simply stated… Logic on 🔥!

His life is an example to us all. I read one of his books, a collection of his sermons I believe, as a young teenager. I was very impressed by the soundness and compelling articulation of the Gospel, even at that age. I had just recently been born-again and I was an avid Bible reader. Everything was new to me, but his presentation was sound, clear, and reverent. Another "father in the faith" whose work needs to be revisited by this new generation of believers. We need that sort of grounding and foundation in the faith. I recommend this movie to all believers. And if possible, try to secure his printed material.

Very much attempts to cover the whole of Lloyd-Jones’ life, his upbringing, his time before conversion, of course him as a long-tenure preacher & most interestingly who he was as a father. While mostly it covers those things many modern day preachers/authors will chime in on his personality and success as a minister. Such as how he was very direct & logical or why he was so successful. I enjoyed the movie and the part that made it all worth it was near the end. I would certainly recommend it.. it’s good to really put some breathe into the books I read by him

It is true that many ministers stand on the shoulders of giants. One of those giants is D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. This is a MUST SEE! A fantastic documentary on one of the greatest preachers of the twentieth century. Dr. Martyn Lloyd Jones' life, work, and ministry has grown me and challenged me not only as a preacher of the Word of God, but to be the man of God that such a pulpit ministry requires for the people of God to be faithfully fed and matured in their faith.

If you need a spiritual bolstering, watch this film! It is powerful and inspiring.

The production quality and content are amazing. Great biographical video on Martyn Lloyd-Jones. It is very detailed and encouraging. Of course, if you've already read Iain Murray's 2 volume biography on MLJ, it may seem like you know everything about MLJ. But this is a great and encouraging supplement if you have already them. Great introduction to the man and his thought if you are new to his ministry.

What I love about this documentary is the passion and love the people had for the Doctor, both followers of his teaching of Christ and the people that was dear and close it his life. The way this was edited and presented shows that we as 21st century Christian can still look to great men of God whom have labored over the word of God and for us to KNOW Him truly. The Doctor words were very clear in this documentary...Know and Love the Lord Jesus Christ...and know Him well.

I have a lot to say. Basically MLJ's ministry has been a huge blessing for me. And I can go on and on. But suffice to say, Thanks to all those who made this documentary. Very encouraging. You have no idea. Keep up the good work and thanks to the Catherwoods for letting us take a peek into the family life of Dr. MLJ. God Bless
