Initially liked the unit, but, over time, it's true character emerged.1) Battery life =~3hrs only (not as advertised)Case in point - I started a half hour treadmill workout with battery at 50%. I had less than 0.5 miles left when the endless repeat of low battery started. With 0.25 mile left it just died.2) Agree with other reviews- "power on" and alert volume is set way too high. Volume in general is high. I kept it at the bottom 2 notches on the volume scale always.3) sound quality is distorted at times. Recently, after limited use in past 9 months, it drops audio at times and occasionally just goes mute.Bottom line - this is a unit made to be used (but not abused) for a SHORT time and then tossed.

Huge disappointment. Read a very favorable review in my local newspaper so I took a shot - after all, they were only $20.When they arrived, one ear grommet was missing. There are no extras included, so they were unusable off the bat and I knew I'd be returning them. Tried listening anyway out of curiosity. There is NO documentation included of any kind, you must go to their non-mobile-friendly website for even the most basic info. The little voice telling you to pair them to your device was speaking Japanese. Apparently the website has instructions on changing the language but I didn't check. I found it impossible to use the buttons to raise or lower the volume without also skipping to next or beginning of the track. Oh and after the honestly helpful support person sent me a new pair which spoke english out of the box and he even especially included different sized grommets, they sounded lousy.

I bought the HiFi Pro Sport Earphones for $19.99 plus $4.96 shipping and handling and when the earphones arrived, they easily paired with my iMac. But they did not work as did not play back any sound, no matter what I did with the volume control. I then sent the following email to the company:"I bought the modern portable fi pro and have paired it my iMac and with my iPhone. But it will not play the music through the headphones on either device even though I have accessed the sound preferences and set it to play back through the headphones. Please help."The following day, I received a reply from the company and it is obvious from their response that they did not bother to read my email. The Company's response was as follows""First off, thank you for your purchase of the HiFi Pro Sport product. We regret to hear you are experiencing an issue with pairing your new HiFi Pro Sport to your Mac & iPhone device. Your HiFi Pro Sport is not pairing to your iPhone because it most likely is currently paired to your iMac. The HiFi Pro Sport can only be connected to one device at a time. To resolve the issue for your iMac pairing, below are the steps to pair the HiFi Pro Sport to your iMac. Let me know if you have any additional questions, thanks.1) On Your iMac, Choose the HiFi Pro Sport you want to connect to from the Bluetooth status menu in the menu bar, then choose connect. Follow the onscreen instructions to connect to the device.NOTE: If the Bluetooth status menu isn’t visible, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Bluetooth, then select “Show Bluetooth in menu bar.”2) Go to the Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Sound.3) Click on the Output tab at the top of the window.4) Select the HiFi Pro Sport from the list of devices.Sincerely,Brian of the Support Team"If I unpair it to either device it still does not work on the other. I asked for and was approved for a return and refund. But of course, I have to pay for the return shipping. So I am out $8 for the privilege of dealing with a device that does not work.

I bought these earbuds because of the great reviews in tech columns. I have long tired of tangled wires so a blue-tooth version is very desirable. I found this product to be easy to set up, easy to pair with my phone, and comfortable to wear (although I sometimes struggle to actually get it over my ear). The sound is very good, although not at "Bose quality".The earphones came without an instruction page, requiring me to locate one on-line. Modern Portable should at least provide a link to that page, if not include it in the box.

THese are a great product. Especially for the price you just cannot beat it. Now I am not an audiophile so that is not a review that I can make, however these were so easy to get charged, then to pair with my phone and computer. Easy to know when paired, easy to turn on and off. The buttons for volume are a great size to be able to easily tell which one is which and make adjustments on the fly. THese are lightweight, very comfortable to wear. Buy your self a pair and get a spare for a gift. You won't regret it.

It appears that since this is a relatively new product, the majority of the reviews on here are from the manufacturer. I can't imagine anyone giving these headphones over 3 stars. This really isn't worth buying if you were planning to use it for music. It's uncomfortable, and the quality is awful. Their website says its a $70 value but I can't imagine these being worth more than $20. The only reason I bought them was because I thought I was getting high-end headphones for a low price. It isn't terrible for phone calls, the microphone and voice clarity are pretty good. If you make a lot of phone-calls in the car this wouldn't be a bad option for you. However, I would NOT recommend them for working out or doing anything active. The cable that connects the two headphones is too long, so the microphone is constantly slapping you in the face. It would have been nice if the package came with some instructions and some smaller earpiece sizes. Overall these were really underwhelming and did not meet up with my expectations.
