Needed it and it did its job with service that is over priced however.

I posted a review on the other listing I purchased on, but felt compelled to post on this listing as well, as it's the same product by the same seller. I've never seen other Amazon sellers have the same listing posted twice, so I'm not sure what's up with that.At first glance it looks pretty good, but as you examine it closer it becomes evident that this unit may not be as well made as it looks. First off, the magnet is secured with only a single rivet and there is no additional support, such as a washer or bracket, to reinforce the inside of the unit. The listing says it has a strong magnet, but with a week point of connection, this could be a big issue. This is more readily evident when you mount the case. The magnet connection is strong, but when you rock the case to break the magnet free, the case almost feels like it’s going to snap off. When you’re putting an expensive GPS tracking unit inside this case, you can’t afford to have the only connection between the magnet and the case be a single rivet. During times of extreme heat or cold, the plastic could become brittle, causing the case to break away from the rivet much more easily. In addition, the epoxy that covers the rivet in the middle of the magnet extruded ever so slightly above the flat surface of the magnet, potentially compromising the bonding of the magnet to the metal surface.Next, the latch does not snap down as tight as other similar units I’ve seen. Hard to know if this would ever come open when attached to a vehicle, but it makes me nervous about actually using it. Also, inside the foam inserts are very thin, and while they are molded, my GPS unit had a tendency to slop around inside, which to me seems problematic for a sensitive piece of electronic tracking equipment. Also, because the latch does not snap down very tight, I would be concerned about the water tightness of the unit over time. Now while I didn’t actually test this, it was an area of concern. Lastly the latch has quite a large gap to one side as the pin it’s attached to moves back and forth with quite a bit of play. I would be concerned that with vibration, that pin could work its way out and cause the latch to fall off. Hence the unit would open and your GPS tracker would be lost… well maybe you could locate and get to it before someone drove over it, but maybe not.Based on other units I’ve seen, I would not recommend purchasing this unit.
