Just buy it -- many uses for this tape
I've been tempted by some of the knock offs being sold for half the price since I don't always use this as kinesio and so could go with a cheapie brand, but continue to buy this one. It works as it should, long lasting yet isn't too harsh when removing. I use it to cover bruises on my arms from soccer while they are healing -- looks better than showing a bruise and you can cut it to shape. I also wrap my toes to prevent blistering in my cleats. Also, I tape this into a variety of shoes to prevent squeaking and slipping [such as on the inside of soccer cleats at the heel/ankle cup and even on dress shoes at the heels and toes] and it lasts at least a season. I also use it with some cotton to make a versatile band aid to wrap on areas that a traditional band aid won't cover. Yesterday, I taped a strip just under each knee cap and it gave reassuring support for knees worn out from decades of running. This tape has so many uses.UPDATE: I have bought their standard black [they have an extra strong black also, but not sure it is any different than the regular black] and it sticks so well that is seems to be a cut above this one as far as performance. The black can last up to a week and even when I am doing hot yoga -- that is very impressive. I continue to buy this beige when I have a need for cover ups, and the black for more serious applications. Was using the black for LCL taping method where one of the tapes scoops around the knee. You can feel the blood flow to the area, plus give support. Was easy to remove also. Great product.

Best product I've found yet!
I discovered Kinesiotape through an ad online, and after some research, decided it was worth a try. It is definitely worth a try and worth the money! I have multiple joint injuries which cause recurring problems, and this tape works wonders! For years I have used braces, Ace bandages, and standard athletic tape, but they all have their drawbacks--braces and elastic bandages restrict circulation and movement, and standard athletic tape immobilizes the affected area, which is fine for an initial injury, but for a re-injury or chronic condition, it can hinder healing by preventing muscles and ligaments from gaining strength. Kinesiotape flexes with your muscles, and if applied correctly, it doesn't wrinkle and bunch. It provides much more support than it would appear from the way it is applied (along the muscle fiber, not a "figure eight" around the joint) It also appears to aid in circulation and reduce swelling as claimed, and it helps get my knee and ankle back in line when they have been locking up.That said, it is a MUST to learn to apply the tape correctly, either from a chiropractor, physical therapist, or from the many online demonstration videos, if you are able to learn in that way. I can see how incorrectly applied tape could do nothing for a condition, or give a sense of false security. There is certainly an element of trial and error, but I think a good starting point is essential. It also helps to have an understanding of how your body works, how your muscles and ligaments operate, and how your condition disrupts that operation. For anyone willing to take the time to learn the correct application, or for professionals looking for additional ways to help their clients/patients, I would definitely recommend this product!

it's a wonder product
I see my Physical Therapist opening this box of tape and explaining how it could help my dropped foot, and I was thinking, how is a thin strip of tape going to help my dead foot? Well, I let her place the strips for a few weeks and I couldn't believe that after 1 month my foot was back to normal. I still have a little problem in some leg nerve. But been able to walk when my best hope was maaayyybeee I could walk on that foot after 1 year, I really am thankful to the Dr. who created this therapy. Now I am getting therapy for my left shoulder and from the first day I can move my arm better. Thanks to Kinesio tape.

Works ok
I wish there were more instructions, and it does say not to stretch the tape but it’s not effective if you don’t. This is the brand my PT uses- works ok. Lasts about 3 days before you must change them.

This tape is magic
I was introduced to this tape by my Physical Therapist - she put it on my thumb (really bad arthritis) and the pain simply stopped. Like magic ! I don't use it every day, but it never fails to eliminate most if not all of the pain. LIKE MAGIC! I will say though, that she did tell me that it does not work for everyone - so like most medical things - it may not work the same for you. (But if you try it, I hope it does) My therapist showed me how to cut it and where to apply it - you may need to get similar advise before using it.

I will be buying this for any joint pain - it works so well!
I became familiar with this product a few months ago when physical therapy used it on me while I was recovering from Rotator Cuff Surgery. I thought it was great. I have a foot that was seriously injured about 7 years ago that still gives me a good amount of pain. I purchased a book and put it on myself. It seems to really be helping. However, I have decided to ask my orthopedic surgeon for a physical therapy order because I think it would be better to have them confirm the right was to do it, then I will continue to tape on my own. I didn't know whether to buy "FP" or classic, but decided to use the most recent version (FP-fingerprint). It works so well I will stick with it.I believe that the ratings I read while trying to decide what to purchase were combined for several different brands. There were complaints about it not sticking. If you buy Kinesio Tex Gold, I am pretty sure you will never have a problem. I made sure I bought what the physical therapist used. I have no problem with the tape staying on. In fact, the physical therapist told me I shouldn't let it go more than 5 days (the first time it was still on when I came in for my weekly therapy). For staying on so well, there is very little pain removing it.

This helps me get through my days and weeks as a professional ballet dancer. The PT staff at the company I work with uses this tape and it does the job. I would recommend this product.
