Magical Girl Apocalypse Vol. 4 (Magical Girl Apocalypse, 4) Paperback – July 28, 2015

This series continues to be one that I am truly addicted to.Volume four keeps the action going, while also building up the mystery around why the magic girls have attacked. I can't really say much without revealing major spoilers, but the action is kicked up a notch as what may very well be the ultimate magical girl is let loose. The blood and gore keep spilling, and our main characters (well, what is remaining of them) continue to face a never ending onslaught of brutality, while some of the greater mysteries are revealed and new mysteries are brought to the forefront. By the end of this book every single major character is at risk, and if past volumes have taught us anything, no one is safe.The art in this volume continues to improve, with the anatomy of the characters feeling more solid (although exaggerated) and their movements feel more natural. This also means that the weird breast physics that seemed to pop up in the earlier volumes are nowhere to be seen. All of the characters, old and new alike, are distinct and easy to recognize, which has always been one of the greatest strengths of this series. The real treat though is the magical girls, and their eventual... evolution. The designs are insane, creative, memorable and stunning. The punishment they dish out is also drawn in all its graphic glory. This is not a book that pulls punches on the gore. It helps that the action is clear, easy to read, and the pages avoid feeling cluttered.If you like action and violence and gore with solid writing, great art, interesting characters and a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat, then you best be reading Magical Girl Apocalypse. This is one of the best horror manga series out there. If you are reading it, then don't hesitate to pick this volume up, as it is the series firing on all cylinders.

I'll say this for the full series. It's highly ridiculous. I'm not saying that like it's a bad thing, but you need to read further to really get into it. Unfortunately, I didn't buy the first one here, but definitely worth the read. The art style is great(though I don't really enjoy the zombies all that much)

The series keeps getting more and more darker as you read and I can’t put the book down! I really hope they come out with a anime for this! It would fabulous!

I bought it used, but it was well packaged and actually looks very new.

I love the Magical girl apocalypse manga so much. They remind me so much of the High school of the dead series. Full of Gore as well as some perverse humor. Read at your own risk.

The book itself is pristine with no scratches or torn pages. What's inside the book is a bloody hellhole the likes of which have never been seen in fiction! And it's awesome!
