Fun Game
As a fashion blogger, I have a love for all things fashion related. So, I figured I would give this game a try. I loved the idea of being able to pick out looks for other people while running my own shop. The game was surprisingly a lot of fun. Once you open your own shop, you are able to pick a store layout, pick the music, and go to the buyer's center to pick up new items to stock.I think my favorite part of the game was dressing my own character up. I was constantly changing her clothes, putting highlights in here hair, and changing her makeup. The hair salon and cosmetics store were nice to visit and it was easy to pick things to buy from each.Although I really liked the game, I wish there had been more stuff to do. Dominic (the shop's owner) frequently came into the shop for a moment. As did his butler, Godfrey. Godfrey was constantly suggesting that my character spend some time with Dominic. Of course, there was never an option to actually do so. Otherwise, maybe Dominic and I could have gone out on a hot date. ;) Hahaha. Other than the usual helping customers, I did get to attend a movie premiere. The game was incredibly easy. Once you pick up on the clothes and brands that a customer likes, it is easy to pick out pieces they would like. (Although, I have to admit, sometimes the clothes these customers wore looked ridiculous.) Every time my shop's rank increased and I got a star, I would go right over to the contest area and enter the next contest. I won every single contest I did. Because I never lost, it led me to wonder if it was possible to lose? I suppose it is if you create some outfit that has nothing to do with the theme... Because of this, it only took me a few days to beat the game. And unfortunately, I lost interest after I had beaten it.Overall I loved the game and would definitely recommend checking it out if you're interested in fashion.

One of my favorite DS games!
I pre-ordered this game because I love fashion and shopping for myself as well as others. I began playing it the night that I received it and I have literally spent hours at a time playing this game. It is so much fun to play. You begin by working as a sales associate under a manager at a shop. You then begin to assist customers with their specific needs. Sometimes they will just come in to browse, need a specific item, want you to make a suggestion or even require a complete ensemble. After proving yourself as an indemand fashionista you will get the option to run your own shop. You can chose what your shop looks like, the type of music is played (which I agree with others to say it is lame music), create looks on manequins for your shop window, visit the warehouse to buy garments that you want to add to your stock of merchandise to sell and even enter contests. Everything that you buy to add to your shop stock is also available in your own closet to wear. You can change your clothes and also visit the salon or cosmetic store to change your look. This game is rated E for everyone but I don't really see that young kids would have any interest or appreciation in playing this game. It would more suite teenage and up. You have to use reasoning skills like paying attention to the type and style of clothes the customer has on as well as what amount they allow for their spending budget to be able to pick out something that they are going to like and will purchase. I am in my 30's and sometimes they don't even like what I pick out. I love this game and I would highly recommend it to anyone that has an interest in style and fashion.

As it turns out, I AM STYLE SAVVY!
Oh what a cute game! I was very excited to get this game, and it didn't let me down. The story line is cute, the gameplay is simple, and the overall experience is just plain fun! May I point out that I am 29 years old, and I mostly use my DSi for puzzle/strategy games. However, this game really brought out the inner 10 year old girl in me! I find it challenging enough that it is not boring, plus the sheer ammount of clothing options are just amazing; I've been playing for a month now and new items are still being added! Each season the clothing line changes, and each month new magazines come out with the latest fashion trends. I haven't even ventured into the online aspects of play since I've been having so much fun with just the basic play.I think players of all ages can really enjoy this game. It is simple enough for young girls to have fun with, and complicated enough (with advertising, top fashion tips, and strategies) for older players such as myself to go crazy for! I hope they make a sequel!

A Fantastic DS game
A very fun and enjoyable game that is very well done and the graphics are pretty good by DS standards. The characters are good and the clothes are super cute. The music is fine and the gameplay is pretty good. My only complaint is that you got to hold the DS like a book in order to play but as long as you use a DS or 2DS instead of an original Nintendo 3DS, you should be fine. This is great game for those who love fashion and kids who like Barbie. There are 2 sequels, both of which were released on the 3DS, If you like this game, than play the two sequels on the 3DS, the graphics are greatly improved and the gameplay is much improved. The Style Savvy games are actually high quality and very well done for games about fashion and dressing up. They're a lot better than any game based on a fashion doll line. This one my absolute favourite DS games of all time.

That's the next 20 years of my life sorted...
I'm a 15 year old girl, and I absolutely LOVE this game. I don't even care that it's aimed at eight year olds, I just love it.The game contains a variety of fun characters, from Grace who teaches you the ins and outs of the fashion world, Renee who is your shop assistant, Godfrey, the housekeeper of the very rich and handsome Dominic and even his maid, Euince. (Don't forget Ro-co-co!)In the game, your goal is to build up to be a five-star boutique. To get this title, you need to serve customers and sell them items you think they'd like. You have to buy stock to do this, of course. You can also enter fashion contests and win rare items and awards, which often leads to you getting an article in a magazine, which is great advertisment!Your customers often invite you out places too, like Chinatown or just out for tea, and a photographer (who's name I can't remember!) always takes your photo, which you can keep in an album.Because of the wide variety of items you can buy, you can make your person anyone you want, with help from the hair dresser and the beautician.I've literally spent hours on this game, and it's really great. Every little girl needs this game, even if they're not so little and they're infact teens...

Good
I was happy when this game arrived on the exact date it suggested to arrive on so I was extremely satisfied with the quick delivery. I got into the game fairly quickly and it's very good if you actually enjoy styling outfits and putting outfits together as that is pretty much what you are doing. However, this game does go by real time and on a Sunday your orders don't came straight to the store meaning you have to wait until is actually Monday in real time before getting your stocks. This is good as you can't complete the game straight away but also a downside as you have to wait to play the game unless you. Hangs your date settings for your whole ds. Either way I was happy with this purchase and do really enjoy the game.

Oh, Dominic I pine for thee...
It'll be great if Girls Mode (the sequel to Style Savvy) hits NA; I'd really like to see more of this. It's not really a game per se. You spend your days dressing people in trendy outfits and attending fashion conventions. If you're a fan of character creators in general (like CoH) and have a soft spot for fashion, this is a pretty nice title.I guess you could say it's "girly" or whatever, but I don't find it offensive. It doesn't talk down to you like you'rean idiot like some Ubisoft titles I could name. Obviously if you're looking for a challenge of reflexes or strategy, thiswould be a bad choice. But if you got an itch for this kind of stuff, this game scratches it better than any other ever made.
