This is normally a $90 case so the issues like the mesh falling off are to be expected. Issues like poor sound quality are also to be expected when it comes to water proof cases because they are completely sealed, this includes over the microphone.My recommendation is have a bluetooth handy for when you're on a call and as for the mesh I just used a little modeling glue to put around the edges of the mesh to hold it in place. So far it hasn't frayed or come off at all and I've had this for over 6 months now.As for the case itself it does a beautiful job protecting my phone. I've spilled things on it, dropped it numerous times, and even dropped it in water a couple times. No issues with my phone and the case is still going strong!

Great full cover and WATERPROOF case for the Samsung Galaxy S4. As long as the mesh and waterproof membranes of the case stay in tact, the phone will be completely protected. It lasted 6 months in perfect condition before the protective membranes started peeling off.

I've had it for 2 weeks now. It replaced a one year old Seidio OBEX case. I've had some issues with voice sound quality, but seems to depend on who I'm calling, location, carrier being used. Sometimes I need to open the charge port cover so I can be heard. No issues when using Bluetooth. It's slightly thicker than my Seidio OBEX case. The port covers are better than the Seidio too. But I need to press hard on the home, volume, and on/off buttons, those are easier on the Seidio Obex. The clear screen protector has already scratched, (from coins in jeans pocket, I think.) I'm concerned that I'll break the mesh screen over the earpiece, as I keep grabbing it in that spot. It's also tough to pry open. After 2 weeks, it has not collected dust like the Seidio. Outer shell is made from a tough plastic and has not stained like the Seidio. Previous Otterbox came with a limited lifetime. Times have changed, Otterbox is only giving a 1 year warranty now.

I've had it just over a week. I've got MS, and my hands don't work so great anymore, and dropping my expensive cell phone wasn't an option, as my work's tied up in it. That being said, I've naturally dropped it since having put my phone in it, and no damage, whatsoever to the phone/case. The only problem I've got is the extreme difficulty pressing buttons. This is NOT a case I'd recommend to someone who has issues using their hands, but I am more than pleased at this time so far.

So...After owning this product less than one week...I managed to drop this into the pool. Great job butterfingers! Guess what?!?!?! Not one drop of water on the inside!!!! For those having problems with people hearing you, remove the cover that protects the charging port...it is waterproof, therefore, air does not travel well. If you travel near a body of water at any point in your life, this is the case to have! Plus Otterbox, which is the #1 brand in mobile technology protection!June 10 Update...My initial review was premature. Although at the time I was super impressed, less than 30 days later, I am returning the case. The mesh on the front that covers the earpiece, fell off. The mesh on the back, at the bottom, is peeling. I have a feeling this is not a legit OtterBox, but I am not one to start rumors. Amazon is kindly returning my money and I dropping this piece of cheap cr*p off at UPS. I will be going to Best Buy to find a different case. At the end of the day, stay away from this case. It did serve its purpose when I dropped it in the water, but the poor quality...there are other options available.

I bought this case to replace the same one I already have. My original one was just worn out from lots of hard use. It performed so well I wanted the same model as a replacement. The only reason I gave it 3 stars on ease of use is because it's very difficult to open when on your phone. However this is necessary to its purpose of being waterproof, so it's worth the hassle.

The case protects very well but is not a very practical everyday case. The case protected the phone against drops and snow from a ski trip. However, the case does not allow you to use the Samsung S4 as a phone. All the people on the line say they could not hear me. I had to use a headphones with a mic to use the phone. Also, the top speaker guard came off pretty quickly and there is an ugly black seal under it. I live with all these issues and enjoy the protection of the solid case but I would not repurchase this product.

Love the product. I wont put my phone in any other kind of case. And amazon sells them cheaper then the carrier store.so I dropped my phone that was protected by this case about 22 feet from the ground. IT landed on cement floor inside of costco. THE case broke open but my phone did not take any damage what so ever. I llove the otter box cases they are tuff. AND this one stood up to the challenge
