2.25" SMART CRUSHER Quality Tobacco Herb Grinder (non-aluminum grinder)

Bought this grinder twice. The 1st time I bought it, it was higher quality. It lasted me 4 years. Heavy duty. So when it broke I wasn’t upset since I got 4 years use out of it. I reordered the grinder a 2nd time because I thought it would be the same grinder. It was not. It seems to be of less quality. Not quite the same size as the old grinder, a tad bit smaller. The kief chamber used to have a bit bigger of the grates at the bottom so you would be able to colllect more. This one is very fine and doesn’t colllect as much. Tried to combine the bottom part of my old grinder and use the new top of the new grinder since that was what broke on the original grinder, the size wouldn’t match up. The grinder grinds good but would not buy again.

For this price this grinder is far better than anything you'll find at a local smoke shop, as sad as that is. I did lots of research before buying and while not the largest grinder for personal use or with a group of friends it is more than adequate. The machining is top-notch, absolutely no defects and grinder arrived with no dusty flakes inside it (though cleaning before use is of course recommended.)Threads are tight and dis-assembly/reassembly is easy. Screen is sturdy and seems to do a good job of letting finer materials/pollen though while keeping the larger chunks on top.I didn't want an aluminum grinder for the chance of getting flakes in the product and you shouldn't either, so this fits that bill nicely. It grinds wonderfully and with minimal effort and turns any sort of herb or plant product into an evenly ground mix.Seriously, don't spend 50-60 bucks on a Space Case or other name brand, I can guarantee you that this product will perform just as well for 1/4 the price. At the very least, TRY this one first before you make a larger purchase like that.

Pros:- For $20, you really aren't going to get a better grinder anywhere. This has the quality of its $40 counterparts- People criticize the screen for being too fine, but the buildup you collect is much more pure. Grinders with bigger screens tend to have bits of plant matter that fall through- This grinder just feels durable and strong. I could spike this thing on a cement sidewalk and it would probably grind just like new- The ground product is the perfect consistency for rolling. You will never get consistency like this if you break your smoking herbs up by hand- The teeth are sharp and plentiful, but the grinder leaves no flecks of metal behind like some cheap grinders do- It came with a nice little carrying pouchCons:- I was expecting this grinder to be black based on the picture, but it was a chrome color instead. Color doesn't matter at all to me, but it's something potential buyers should be aware of- The chamber where the grinded product falls into is very shallow. If you are careless when separating the layers, you might have your herbs spill out- It might take a few tries to line up the threads on the layers correctlyOverall, I am very happy with this purchase. I shutter to think about the grinders at my local smokeshop I was considering purchasing for almost double the price. I highly recommend this grinder to anyone

It works as one would expect. I don't think any similar device could do better. It does need to be scraped out before use as gunk clogs around the teeth. The teeth are very sharp and strong and have no trouble at all. The bottom pollen collector has done nothing at all and seems unnecessary to me, but who knows who might get use from it. I'd buy it again, but it is so solid I don't expect I'll have to. It would be nice if the collector(s) snapped open and shut as the fine threads take a bit of turning. The magnet top (top grinder) is strong enough if it is kept clean, and is a nice touch so the lid doesn't accidentally fall off, but it is not necessary as one's hand naturally keeps the lid in place while turning.

Ordered a cheaper 4-PC grinder on here for my girlfriend on Jan 11th that has yet to show up. Bought one from same seller a few years ago that was on time. Now, the quality of that one wasn't perfect, but it worked. Nonetheless , I needed a new one because the older one wasn't quite as sharp as it was when I first got it. So I went looking for another one. Got my girlfriend a new one for almost $50 from smoke shop, but didn't wanna spend that much again. Let me tell you, I ordered this one on May 7th & it arrived less than a week later. It's strong, heavy, sturdy & it grinds beautifully. Buy it, it's worth the purchase. I can see a lot of durability in this product. Use it at least every other day. Best I've used outside of the $50 one I got my girl.

I am not a review-er type, but I really wanted to let people know how wonderful this item is. First, it is a joy to look at, and I really mean look at: this is a beautifuly made item, and little details, like the radius in the lid of the grinder compartment, or the included carry bag, are things I can see myself really coming to appreciate. It is a really great size, but not as heavy as I expected it to be, yet somehow feel more expensive because of it. To be honest, looking at it I kept thinking about exotic German cars. In short, it feels solid and precise, while looking impressive and understated.I don't think the drop compartment is too small as some others have discussed, but the pollen screen is very fine, and I am not sure how much will sift through. On the flip, not much will sift up (like in transit), either, keeping the precious safe. As a bonus, the screen feels tight as a drum, which is where I have had other grinders fail.Only gripes are some VERY minor cosmetic defects on inner surfaces and that I would have preferred the magnet to attach the lid protrude up from the body (when assembled) than down from the lid, but these are VERY minor nitpicks on a grinder I would expect to see for $50-70, retail, plus $10 for the pouch.This is a phenomenal product, not just for the price. I would buy again, but I doubt I will have too!

Back when I was using herbs regularly, this got used on a daily basis. Always did a great job and the collector at the bottom worked wonderfully. A college/university student must have!
