Petmate Army Heggie Plush Dog Toy

This darn Heggie- he’s become a member of the family. He’s even joined our morning walk. I certainly wouldn’t say this is very durable, but it’s my dogs favorite so she’s honestly way more gentle with this one that any other toy. We’re on our fourth in the last two years. I’m very against squeaker toys, but this one’s “pig snort” squeaker goes out quickly by only lasting the first couple days(if even). This was bought as a gift and I was very hesitant to give it to her because she destroys all plush in seconds, but not heggie. I’ll honestly probably always keep a couple in storage. When I’ve had to take it away because it’s falling apart or reeks, she notices. It’s sad. But hey, anything for those special pups in our lives, right? Welcome to the family Heggie the fifth and sixth. We’ll see ya after Heggie the fourth is done.

My 15 month old Spaniel mix pup is definitely a strong chewer! When she was adopted from Animal Control 3 months ago, she was given a Zoobilee stuffed animal by the staff. Needless to say, she has chewed and fetched and fetched and chewed this 'grunting' toy for HOURS and HOURS! It has become a favorite toy of hers. The 'grunting' noise has given up the ghost on her older Heggie, although it still remains a favorite. I immediately found this Little Red Riding Hood Heggie and had to order it for Sadie, in case the older fisherman Heggie came apart! The price was incredibly low and I couldn't wait to give it to Sadie! She's in LOVE with this Heggie as much as the other......I will be ordering and storing another few Heggies for future suprises for my rowdy pup! I would highly recommend getting this toy for any medium size dog!

This line of Hedgehog toys are my dogs absolute favorite. She has had a few of the different hogs over the years has loved them all. Most recently I got her the Princess hedgehog and I think it might be the sturdiest and longest lasting out of all the ones I have ever bought for her. My dog has been playing with Princess for 3 weeks and the toy is still fully intact. This is amazing - usually my dog has worked one of the seams loose by now and I've had to make repairs, but thiu tough little princess hog has not needed any surgery yet! Much sturdier than the elf version of this toy, which is also cute but not nearly as durable.

Figured I'd give this toy a shot because it was cheap and the reviews were pretty good but I learned my lesson. On a "hours of fun" basis, this was definitely not worth it.I will give this disclaimer to my review. Our dog is pretty big and can be somewhat rough on toys, but usually the toys put up slightly more fight than this.He really enjoyed playing with it for all of the 10 minutes it was around for. After that it was all over the floor and just a sqeaker thing. I've paid for toys 7 - 8x more than this, that have lasted 100x+ longer.This might be fine for small dogs or dogs that don't really pull/yank/chew/destroy. If your dog likes to chew or tug at all though, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're fine with it being in the trash within the hour.

OMG - Our Lhasa Apso absolutely LOVES this toy; it was his Christmas present this year. It's a great size for him and he has been able to play pretty rough it. The cape is sewn in so it is not removable. After some vigorous tug-of-war, however, I had to do some hand-sewing to keep it in place. The toy has a squeaker in the body that grunts rather than squeaks, and it was hard for the dog to find it. Since I had to mend the hole where the cape started to detach anyway, I threw in an extra squeaker to make it easier for him. I would absolutely recommend the Zoobilee Heggie Plush Dog Toy to others.

My young Border Collie has a total of 10 of these hedge hogs (all in different outfits), as they are her favorite toy. She knows her "Hedgies" from any other toy we have (and trust me, we have plenty!!). These toys make a low grunting noise, so they are not obnoxious. They are well-made, although my dog does treat these as her "babies"...sometimes they will be subject to intense tugging from our other dog, but they have kept together well! I hope they continue to offer more Hedgies, and can't wait to see other costumes!

my dog is an incredible chewer and usually destroy stuffed animals within one hour. This hedgehog has been lasting since Christmas time. She loves it so much that I bought another one. She has been able to mostly destroy the grunting version of the squeaker inside but it still works from time to time. Originally I was upset that this stuffed animal for a dog cost so much but when you compare the durability and how I would have normally had to buy two or three different ones by now you can't go wrong with this thing. She practically sleeps with it

This stuffed animal is adorable, but a waste of money. The first one to arrive was already split down the center top seam, exposing the stuffing & noise-maker. To Amazon's credit, they didn't ask for a return, but simply shipped us a second identical "hedgehog".That one, however, didn't squeak at all (well, the sound of the first one is more of a grunt). And within 5 minutes, my one dog has divested it of a tiny limb. Within 20 minutes further, the nose was gone. Meaning that I'll need to perform surgery on this little beast before letting my dog use it again. (BTW, he likes it very well.) But I have little doubt that even then, more parts will just go missing. Frankly, I don't want my dogs eating felt or stuffing!

My dog liked this toy and didnt rip it apart immediately. It lasted around 2wks before she tore it apart and it went quickly - ok if your dog doesn’t play rough with their toys. Disintegrates immediately after rough play though.

My dog adores this little hedgy. It probably would not stand up to strong chewers but it is well made. My Cavalier has been sucking on it and gently chewing! So far it's still in tact. It has a nice grunter inside rather than the deafening squeek that a lot of dog toys have.

Great design, colourful, well made. The grunt is sadly fading...
