Unique map and easy to learned the cities and region of Germany.

It has the political divisions and many, many cities and towns listed so it fit thebill for our German Heritage exhibit.

A nice, large, glossy-finish map, printed in Germany, publication date = 2005. Note that the place names are in German: rather than "Munich" and "Nuremberg", you'll find "München" and "Nürnberg". For me that's a plus; for those looking for a map with English names of German towns, rivers, etc., look elsewhere.PROS:- The states (Bayern/Bavaria, etc) are color-coded. This is really useful, as a German will often tell you the state s/he's from, and the color-coding makes the states easy to find. (look in the upper left hand corner for a small inset map with the names of the states).- The administrative districts (Regierungsbezirke) within the states are also color-coded! This is very hard to find on a map not printed in Germany, and useful for the same reasons as the State color-coding.- Plenty of detail. For example, most major airports and many of the smaller towns are indicated. The major federal Autobahns (highways) are clearly indicated with both the EU and German numbering, and the state roads are also shown (but not numbered). If your German friend tells you that you need to take the A9 then the A93 to get from München to Regensburg, you can find those Autobahns on this map (easier if you use a magnifying lens).CONS:- none that I can think of, as long as you understand German place namesAll-in-all a great value if you buy the non-framed version.

This poster is helping me find my mother's ancestors. The color blocking is really helpful, and the locations are easy to find. It is easy to work with. The quality is excellent.

Real nice

I used to live in Germany, so I really wanted a map next to my German flag in my dorm room. The map is a great size, and I love that's it's all in German. It also includes smaller cities on the map and it's a great buy, I'd say.
