Both of our Yorkies were terrified at the groomers. The bathing part would go without incident, but once the scissors and/or trimmers came out - FORGET ABOUT IT. We received the phone call asking us to come and pick up our furry kids, and were told they couldn't groom them.EVER.My husband and I were then faced with the task of giving our pups the dreaded "home do." After much searching, we discovered the Scaredy Cut. The heavens opened. Angels sang. No, seriously - it happened.Thankfully, these scissors make it virtually impossible to screw up the home hair cut. I ordered these because my cat suddenly grew a GIANT mane and she couldn't get past the mane to clean her belly. She kept getting mats around her armpits and chest and trying to cut them out with regular scissors was extremely nerve wracking for me and my bf and seemingly painful for the cat. I liked the idea of giving her a mane and chest all-around cut and I bought this because it also had a tool to break up the mats.The first scissors I received had issues with the screw and they kept felling apart, but the company sent a replacement right away! They were very apologetic and really seemed to care. So A+ to service.When it came time to actually use the scissors, my cat was very not happy since I think all the previous times we tried to get her mats out traumatized her. My boyfriend had to hold her down since she was very squirmy and I cut. Her haircut ended up being very choppy looking, but she was so relieved when her mane was finally gone!! Over the next couple days, she ended up working her mats out by herself and we found them around the house lol. As her hair is growing in a little more, the unevenness is less noticeable. I'm sure we could try to hold her down and even it out more but I don't wanna bother her, and honestly the price of these was worth it even if we just use it once a year. We would have had to take her to a groomer instead since the mats were very obviously bothering her, and I don't want to subject her to that kind of trauma! I'm so happy that these scissors made it relatively easy to improve her health and happiness! :)

I have a Norweigian Forest Cat mix with extraordinarily long hair that mats easily. He hates being groomed by brush and he gets traumatized at the vet. When I got this product, I felt like it probably wouldn't work, but I was so so surprised! He is very anxious about grooming, so his first cut looks a bit punk rock, but I was able to remove his mats and trim him for summer without injury, sedation or the expensive vet visit. I am thrilled with this product and I plan to buy more.

These scissors have really helped me keep up with grooming my Maine Coon cats, specifically the mats they occasionally develop. Being able to closely trim their fur and break up the mats without worrying about nicking the skin is a relief. Plus it is easier to get the cats to let me trim them since I first ‘brush’ them with the comb attached to the clippers which they love; then I simply switch to actually clipping the fur and they don’t (usually) even realize it. These clippers have enabled me to reduce costly trips to the groomer (which is also a major benefit for my cats since that whole experience is seriously stressful for all of us). So glad I tried these clippers out!

Wish the scissors were sharper but my pet preferred the quiet vs. the electric clippers as do I.

Really excited to try the scaredy cut. My dog looks much better now thanks to this product. I have a 8 pound toy poodle. My dogs hair finnally grew back long enough from my last butcher cut using a very pricey electric razor.Cutting takes more time but the cuts are more precise And I don't have to worry about cutting too close. My dogs enjoys this product as it feels like I m brushing his hair. It's a great opportunity to bond with the dog.Plus I don't have to take him to the groomers as often which saves me lots of $$$.

I tried to use it to clip my ragdoll cats..nice idea but didnt work.

This product lets you determine the length you want to cut your pets hair and then makes it so easy to get a uniform cut! The very best part is the pet does not realize you are actually cutting hair...they just think you are brushing them! Looking forward to receiving Tiny Scissors!
