No Buzz Clipper + Dematting Comb by Scaredy Cut Silent Home Pet Grooming Kit, Pink, Right-Handed

UPDATED 6/21/17 -First, this company has WONDERFUL customer service. I wrote a less than flattering review and immediately Scaredy Cut reached out to me to resolve the issue. They sent out a new set - which was perfectly sharp - and I am very pleased with the product. My dog is difficult to groom. While manually cutting his hair takes more time, these clippers trim his hair evenly. It's so much safer than grooming him with a straight pair of scissors and he looks almost professionally groomed. It's rare these days for a company give exceptional customer service but Scaredy Cut went well beyond my expectations in resolving my issue. Thank you Scaredy Cut for wonderful customer service!I actually had another set of these and it worked pretty well for my dog. He's terrified of electric clippers and has to be sedated if he goes to the groomer. My old Scaredy Cut clipper cut pretty well. It was sharp enough although I wish it were a little sharper. Because of the guides, his cut was even and he looked like he was professionally groomed. I didn't worry about cutting him which can happen with a regular pair of scissors. It does take a lot longer than electric clippers BUT it was so much less stressful for both me and my dog. I bought another set since my old set was a little dull and I was so disappointed. it was HORRIBLE. The blade was so dull it couldn't cut one piece of hair. It was like it was never meant to cut ANYTHING. So disappointed! I returned it and will look for another manual groomer that is safe and quiet.

I liked the idea of this product, but I didn't work for my cat. I have a long-haired cat who absolutely hates electric clippers, I thought this would be the home grooming solution I have been looking for. It wasn't. With every cut of the scissors she would meow, as though it hurt her. I thought maybe it was because I was getting too close to her skin, since I was using the smaller comb, but changing to a longer one made no difference. Then I thought maybe I had the scissors angled wrong and it was pulling too much - changing the angle of my cuts didn't help.Just trying to get through the first step of cutting the longer chunks was impossible. I think, overall, the scissors aren't sharp enough. The fur I did manage to cut off had to essentially be sawed through with multiple cuts - not really a smooth process.I had high hopes for this for my long haired cat, and I think it is safe to say we were both disappointed.Two stars for the idea though.

I was nervous to make this purchase because I usually take my dog to the groomers. But with the lock down in the city, I definitely had no other choice. It was very easy to use, my dog seemed at ease while I was doing it. The dematting tool looks scary but it’s a breeze to use as well. She came out like a new pain pop within about 2 hours

My dog is afraid of the noise the razor makes, he ends up jumping and kicking around whenever the razor gets close to him.These scissors and the attachments have been a great help in keeping his hair short while also allowing for an even clean cut each time I groom him. He holds still pretty well during the process, though I do take breaks during it whenever he starts to get antsy from standing still for so long. It does take awhile to do (you are cutting the fur everywhere on his body from his little paws to his ears to the end of his tail), but the alternative is trying to hold him down and using the razor so this helps to save me from back problems. Definitely a plus in my book.

I really love this product! I have two maltipoos and one seems to more poodle than the other. Grooming them both can get pretty expensive so being able to trim them both myself is wonderful. They both love being brushed and combed, so the transition to trimming them was easy. I like that I don't have to do the whole trim at once...I can do big cuts with the #5 one day and a few days later, finish up the trim with the #3 and #2. Being able to brush them out and give them trims before matting becomes an issue is the best. I felt like a terrible person when I'd bring them into the groomer with mats. The only issue I have is that my thumb gets a bit sore in the scissors so I do the grooming over a few days.

My poor little toy poodle is terrified of getting groomed. Idk why or when it started but he starts shaking as soon as I pull up at the groomers (multiple ones) and he gets super anxious anytime I try to trim his hair (which makes me super anxious). He did so well with this! He even laid down and let me trim the hair on his belly! Recommending this to anyone with a similar situation! Honestly probably recommending it to anyone who will listen! Lol! You WONT regret this purchase!

My long-haired Exotic [cat] grew an outrageously fluffy coat this winter. She complains when I try to groom certain parts of her body so by shedding time she had plenty of snarls. I didn't want to scare her with a pair of clippers and didn't have to! Scaredy Cut did the job gently with quiet efficiency while she purred through each cutting episode. Thank you!

We had a half bald Shih Tzu, which was especially bad as half her face was shaved short! The groomer claimed she was too wiggly to finish, so we tried fixing with some safety scissors but it was hard to disagree with the groomers assessment... it was hard to get an even cut with just scissors. Anyway, ordered these and they were a much safer/easy way to cut my wiggly dog's hair than the safety scissors as I could control how much hair was removed when she jumps around!Have not used for a whole trim yet, but they were great for cleaning up her face. I have since used them to clean around her bum after potty problems, and around her mouth and eyes as her hair grows out more!Also, apparently they taste great, my puppy liked chewing on the packaging.
