I’m impressed.
Great quality wood. It was super easy and actually fun to put together. It reminded me of Lincoln Logs but resulting in a beautiful barn door! Well worth it. Durable materials, instructions were simple and the ability to stain or paint it however I want is a bonus, in my opinion.

Beautiful, Easy-to-Assemble Barn Doors
I bought two of these barn doors to cover my daughter’s bedroom closet, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. They were surprisingly easy to assemble, and the wood stained beautifully to the perfect color. I was a little skeptical at first about how well the wood pieces would join together, but it all came together smoothly and installation was a breeze. Great quality and a great look—highly recommend!

Great Barn Door With Proper Pre Prepping
I got the door in November 2020. I painted all the after assembling it. The problem I ran into is that the wood is still fresh and drying. After a few weeks all of the wood planks shrank up to an 1/8” leaving up to a 1/4” gap between planks. I had to remove the diagonal braces and reposition the planks to close the gap. In hindsight I would recommend taking all the wood out of the package and laying them flat on a hard floor and let the wood dry out completely. I would say up to a month. After being completely dry, I would paint all the wood pieces first before assembling. I would use primer before painting the final color. Let all the paint dry for at least 24 hours before completely assembling. The wood is very soft pine and assembles easily. Once you get the planks spaced where there are no gaps to allow light between the planks (I had some backlight it with a flashlight), I would glue the planks to the upper and lower wood supports to prevent the planks from shifting before screwing in the diagonal wood supports. I used Elmers glue. The last thing I would do is plug the screw holes with the wooden dowel plugs because once you plug the holes you will not be able to remove the screws to take the frame apart should the need arise.

Cheaper than DIY!
I initially considered crafting my own barn door, but after evaluating the costs of materials alone (excluding my time) the precut barn door kit emerged as the better option. The assembly process was surprisingly swift, taking 15-20 minutes to complete. The door's design features intuitive notches that ensure the pieces interlock seamlessly, secured firmly with screws. The central panels, also notched, slide in effortlessly without leaving any gaps, although ensuring good alignment and squareness helps with this. To conceal the screw holes, the kit includes pegs, and for those who prefer, decorative overlays can be added towards the end using the provided screws. One crucial tip: the door's bottom is pre-cut to accommodate a track guide, so it's important to position it on bottom during assembly. Keep in mind, the hardware for hanging the door is sold separately, necessitating drilling for the barn door rollers. My sole concern is the center panel's material, which is somewhat thinner and less resilient. You can feel it flex when you push on the door. It does its job but I could see kids rough housing and breaking the center section.

Great door!!! Worth the price!! High quality
GREAT DOOR!!! I GOR QUOTES TO HAVE SOMEONE BUILD IT CLOSE TO 500- 800 NO HARDWARE. THE QUALITY IS A1. I CHOSE TO STAIN MINE AND IT CAME OUT BEAUTIFUL MY WIFE LOVES IT. IVE SEEN REVIEWS ABOUT ISSUE WITH STICKERS MINE DID NOT COME THAT WAY PARTS WERE STAMPED ON THE BOTTOM OR LOCATIONS U WONT SEE. QUICK AND EASY TO ASSEMBLE. I ALSO SEEN PEOPLE SAYING GAPS IN DOOR FALSE! U NEED TO ASSEMBLE IT RIGHT. THE PANELS SLIDE IF NOT POSITIONED PROPERLY. VERY EASY TO PUT TOGETHER. HOW EVER MOUNTING AND HANGING WILL TAKE A LITTLE SKILL. DIRECTIONS ARE WHAT U EXPECT. THE DOOR GUIDE WILL LAST BUT I OPTED TO BUY ANOTHER ONE FROM SMART STANDARD. ALL IN ALL GREAT DOOR WILL BUY MORE ASAP!! Update: so the wood panels seem to have shifted or shrunk. Now there's a gap and It was perfect in the beginning this took over a. Month to have. Im going to use some wood filler to fix pretty sure it will be fine but kind of annoying. I thought the wood was suppose to expand not shrink.

!?!?!?!?.....
I wish I could upload a photo... so I can show people, I bought this kit because I personally did not want to go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and buy a bunch of lumber and try to make a door... When you start putting this thing together you will notice there is a space on either side of the door. If that doesn’t bother you were you can see through the door you should continue purchasing this door for however much it’s on sale for. But if you are somebody who pays attention to every detail, you will see that your value here is not worth it... you worked hard for your money. Don’t buy it... Go to YouTube, type in DIY BARNDOOR! Find the door that you were trying to make, and follow what that guy or woman did... I would return this door but I’ve already burned it, and stained it I did not notice any wrong until I started putting it together... Assembly is extremely easy... But seriously those little pieces that are in the center you can slide them to one side or the other and there is probably a gap of a quarter of an inch. Where are you can see through the door... I cannot express to you in words how pissed I am...

Awesome kit awesome price!
Honestly for a kit I can’t imagine getting anything better delivered in a box. It’s wood so nothing is ever 100% perfect. If you can work a sander I’d definitely say to get these. Ordered two and very minimal warping on any of the wood. Once everything is screwed together these doors are very straight. We’re hanging them in our garage to separate the sides. Bought some prefab doors from Lowe’s, wish I had bought these first for our master bedroom. Definitely an awesome kit! Might update once they’re stained and hung! (UPDATE) These doors turned out awesome! Just a heads up if you do buy the kit I’d pull the lumber out and let dry for a week or two as I did experience a small amount of shrinkage. Still 5 stars for the price!

I was disappointed with the product due to the fact that it had to be totaly assembled, however when I submitted a review with that feedback, the Seller was immediately in contact with me and offered me a choice of solutions and turned the negative experience into a totally positive one. Totally awesome company to deal with for customer service! Wouldn't hesitate to deal with them again.
