Monkey Mat ~ A clean surface you can take everywhere! (Orange Sunrise)

Positives: This mat is great to throw in the diaper bag for every day use. I have used it anywhere from airports to parks. I enjoy that its small and I can shove it back into the bag one handed without having to put my child down on a dirty floor. We generally use it for play but I have also used it as a changing mat, who knows how dirty the changing tables are in public. It washes easy and does fine in the dryer...basically every mothers dream. The weighted corners are a little loud in the dryer but thats really not much of an issue. Honestly it doesn't attract a lot of dirt so as long as you aren't using it on the changing tables you don't need to wash it often. We have had one for about a year and these are one of my staple baby gifts. I loved being able to set my baby down somewhere clean.Dislikes: I really dont like how incredily thin this is. We set it outside on the damp grass and it soaked through even dispite the manufactures claims that it's water proof. It also is easy for my son to pull up, even when he was a baby. They do sell stakes to hold down the corners but that defeats the purpose of a small, easy travel mat.

This isn't a bad ground floor but it does need to be on dry ground otherwise you and it will get damp or wet. This can be versatile too like it can be a tent mat floor or a table top sheet or a divider for hanging may make a good sail for paddle boarding. When folding the mat it doesn't really matter as long as its square it'll stuff back into its bag case. Very easy to carry clip it on your pants, bag, wrist ect. And for some reason bugs like the color of the Orange one but nothing scary a quick shake and lie down all gone.

I got this mat for the purpose of using it during messy sensory play with my baby. It is easy to clean and a large enough area for both of us to sit on and enjoy the activity. The main downside is that the weighted corners do not hold the mat down when placed on my hardwood floors so, it slides all over the place and does not stay flat.

This is a great idea, packs into itself and with the weighted edges it's easy to lay it on the ground. Much better than using a blanket that pick's up everything. This shakes clean. Only problem is that it is called water resistant. I guess it is, but, if you put it on wet ground it does seep through. I would buy again.

This is really good quality and I like the weighted corners. It is actually quite big and I could even fit it back in the bag which is awesome because I usually can never do that. The clip hook is a cool feature for taking it along when you hands are already full as you know if you have a little one.

We keep this in our two year olds diaper bag. Easy to use and easy to store. We use this more and more every day. This is perfect for snack time and nap time, creating a clean surface no matter where we are. We wash it in the washer in gentle cycle and toss it back in the diaper back.

It seems like a great concept, but it doesn't do the job. Outdoors, the weights won't keep it down from the wind and the fabric is too thin to be comfortable. Indoors, you might as well bring a sheet or rain poncho and put it on the floor. Disappointed as this is not a portable replacement for a picnic blanket. Not worth the $20 unfortunately.

like other customers stated, the 'weights' on the corners do not do a very good job of staying down in really windy conditions BUT I still gave it 5 stars because it is so small and handy to keep in my diaper bag. I have used it at the airport while waiting for a flight with my then 9 month old (who was walking by then)) and also during an impromptu stop at the park.
