I bought this for a trip to Costa Rica rainforest. We only travel with carry-on, and I needed an mosquito-repellant that would fit in my 3 quart bag. There was no smell after spraying this on. I recommend you stand outside and move around after your spray some on then spray some more, since I ended up coughing from the spray in the air.For some reason, the mosquitos were not as bad as I expected, so I can't really attest to its effectivity but I assume it was good. I only got one bite. I used this for hikes in the rainforest and just essential oil sprays at dinner (when I got the one bite). The Florida Everglades would have been a real test for the spray since I had 13 bites on each leg.Fits in carry-on, not smelly, and something safer then DEET. Would buy again.

Yes, I know it's DEET. But having seen a multitude of tic-borne diseases, I take this issue VERY seriously. Forget the natural oils - really??? Get rid of standing water, use nontoxic larva-cidal "dunks", avoid outdoors at dawn and dusk, mend screens, use mosquito nets if you're in an epidemic area, wear tightly woven fabrics with clothing and gear treated with permethrin. And don't get me started on tick-borne illnesses...the RMSF bearing tics are virtually INVISIBLE to my old eyes. Better to have primary prevention, especially with kiddos.

Works great for mosquitoes, black flies, deer flies, etc. While the smell isn't horrid like all bug sprays used to be, I still took one star off for the smell. Maybe it's impossible to have a bug spray that smells "good"?

I like that it doesn't make you feel sticky all day like others I've tried! It's been great at keeping ticks and mosquitoes off of me too! I bought the smaller can just to try it out but it's went a long way! It's been great to just carry in my pocket and take with me while I'm out in the woods.

No other product for three bucks can give you this much peace of mind when you're outdoors. We're on a stretch of land surrounded by woods, in the Deep South. Sometimes I think we should change our State Bird to the mosquito. We get plenty of rain, lots of standing water, plus we've got a pond. And that means mosquitoes, lots of them. Oh, but it gets better.....Then there are the deer flies, or buck flies, as Uncle Dave calls them. They're tiny, but vicious. They go high, and you'll feel them smacking into your head, eager to feed on you. There are giant horse flies bigger than a quarter. Swarms of gnats. And of course, chiggers. You don't even have to go past the tree line into the woods. Just walking from your truck into the house is a chore in itself. So you can imagine working outdoors for hours on end. Especially if there's an emergency repair we have to do on something at night, and our floodlights or headlamps are like a restaurant's neon "open" sign to skeeters. Bottom line, I'm not trying to get eaten up, or have to swat at deer flies or horse flies while I'm working a chainsaw. That's why I buy this stuff.It works. We spray ourselves down when we've got work to outside. And then we can walk around in complete peace. It's funny when we're using a portable floodlight at night, because you can actually see the bugs flying close, and the moment when they realize the kitchen is closed for the night. No problems with deer flies and horseflies during the day. No more coming inside with skeeter bites on my face or hands. Because the can is small, it fits right in my jeans pocket, if I'm sweating a lot and need a touch-up. It can leave a residue on my clothes sometime, but I don't really care, because it's clothing I'm sweating in anyway. I'm not spraying this on a three-piece suit, I'll live if a bit stays on my clothes.Off is a brand that everyone knows. It's a brand that my family has always trusted. You find something that works, and you stick with it. And for me personally, I love the smell. My Wife hates it lol. Our Daughter always asks why Daddy "smells weird" after I come back inside wearing it. But when I smell it, it reminds me of all the time I spent with my Dad. Gathering wood so we can build a fire when we went camping. Tossing the football around in the yard. The light hanging under the popped hood of the car at night, while he showed me how to fix things. Only purchased this to clean some fogged up headlights on an old 2012 vehicle. IT WORKS!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!
