Pleasantly Surprised
I purchased this to fit in my saddle bag – fits as advertised.I tried it out on a tire and found that when I screwed it on the Schrader valve the threaded end is crimped tight to the hose so I had to turn the entire hose and pump to get it snug. I pumped up a tire and I was a little worried about how much air I would lose when I unscrewed the pump from the valve. I don’t know about you, but I’ve tried many pumps that have a quick release, screw end, etc. and they all lose a little to a lot of air when you take the pump off. Much to my surprise I didn’t lose any air! I tried it a couple of times, and no loss of air. I looked in the hose and there’s a rubber piece in the end that must be designed to seal against the Schrader valve then push in the button – which for me worked great every time.Anyway, the size is just what I needed, it’s currently a great price, it’s lightweight and has a nice metal (not cheap plastic) body, it looks like it has a lifetime guarantee, it never runs out of CO2, and as a bonus it doesn’t even leak any air then you take if off your Schrader valve. What more could you want?No need for a disclaimer: I noticed a lot of reviews from people that got their pump for free or at a discount – not me! I just wanted to share my experience with this pump.10/20/18 - I had to make an update. I just got a flat out on the trail and pulled out my repair parts/tools to fix it. When I had the new tube in place I pumped the tire up. No problems, it worked just as well as when I first got it! :)

A well-designed field repair pump (with a couple of exceptions) that is very small and light weight
After a 5 mile walk out in the boonies dragging a bike with a blown tire, I bought this pump to allow field repair for any such future need. Unlike many reviewers of this and other pumps, I did not buy this pump in exchange for writing an "unbiased" review. The pump design is well-conceived with a couple of exceptions: 1) the stroke tube used to push air into the tire does not have a lock down (this means when mounted on a bike, the pump can't be mounted horizontally without risking having the stroke tube extend in rough riding, requiring something like a duct tape solution) and 2) the flexible tube attaches to the end of the pump rather than its side (which limits bracing the pump when trying to reach higher tire pressure; i.e., you basically have to grip the pump with one hand while pumping with the other). Other than that, the pump works fine and the stroke tube can withstand as much pressure as your muscles can produce in pumping it, assuming internal pump seals don't fail at higher pressures, which is at least the case when the pump is new. As others have noted, given its size it takes plenty of strokes to move enough air to produce significant psi, with the effort increasing as the tire inflates. This is to be expected since you are simply pushing air out of the pump tube into the tire using brute force, which is how all hand pumps work. The flexible tube used to deliver the air makes positioning the pump easier, but as noted limits bracing the pump when trying to reach higher tire pressure. For the 2 reasons given, I'm not willing to give the pump more than a 4 star rating. The flexible tube stows in the pump's stroke tube and has to be attached to use the pump. One end of the tube fits Schrader valves and the other fits Presta valves, so you simply attach the tube so that the free end matches the valve on your tire. A large rubber cap on the end of the stroke tube cushions you hand when you pump and also serves to seal off its stowage chamber. A rubber cap on the other end seals off the threaded air outlet, which is where the flexible tube is attached. The mount appears to be molded from the same kind of plastic used for water bottle holders and has a nifty rubber O-strap for securely holding the pump.I've verified my pump works as advertised and have attached it to my bike frame to go with my water bottle holder, seriously hoping I never have to use it.

Lightweight, Compact, Flexible makes a Winning Combination
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Lightweight, compact, and - most importantly - flexible. I recently added a 90 degree metal valve stem to my motorcycle tire. Although these stems are a sturdier setup, the change in access rendered my previous, uni-design tire pump useless. How would I ever replace the power and convenience of that portable pump?BoG to the rescue.Excellent design parameters makes this small but rugged mini-pump perfect for people like me that insist on having a reliable way to add air to their tires while on the road. It absolutely works as advertised, and is amazingly powerful. Because it is a smaller pump, you'll find yourself taking more pump strokes, but they are EASIER strokes to execute. The pump's flex tube also puts less of a strain on those rubberized valve stems most tires have. BTW, that same flex tube also makes it loads easier to REDUCE tire pressure, a handy feature. How can you go wrong with a product whose company offers a lifetime warranty? You can't. Make the BoG mini-pump a part of your onboard maintenance kit, no matter what you ride.
