Powerful!
This was an excellent guide to developing grip strength. It is thorough, yet easy to follow. And it is based on advice from one of the all-time greats. Very motivating. I will close the CoC #3!

Information excelent, could have used better editing.
In terms of the information provided, this is a great book. The author describes, in good detail, the types of exercises one should use. Also described, are the number of sets, reps, and suggested workout plans. The suggestions for additional material to read on the subjects discussed is also a bonus.I also liked that, although this book obviously was written to discuss Iron Mind products, others are mentioned and discussed in a fair and objective manner. It also discusses the construction of several home made pieces of equipment in great detail. As an avid DIY person, I love when books show me things I can make as opposed to buying them. Then I get the fun of building AND using the equipment. There are only two reasons I am not giving this five stars.1. While there are some diagrams and pictures, there needed to be more. While the author does a very good job of explaining things, pictures and diagrams are always helpful. Though I will say the ones that are present are of good quality and explain the material.2. The editing on the book. I'm not typically one to nitpick on grammar. My spelling is terrible (were it not for spell check), and I do not use perfect grammar or punctuation. But there were several points in the book where the grammar used was distracting. Also there were several times where it seemed either pieces of information were cut out, or never included rendering the information that was there a tad confusing. These came across as editing errors, and made the book seem a bit less professional. However, this was not the case for a good portion of the book so it only distracts some.Aside from those grips, the content is helpful. I have already progressed from using the Trainer grippers to the #1 and on good days the #1.5. I'll be ordering the #2 within the next month, and am happy with my progress.I would recommend this book to a friend.

Good Book Crushing Grip
This book really serves a niche market. Not too many people are interested in or care to focus solely on grip strength training. Grip strength for most people are just afterthought. I do have to say that by focusing and developing stronger hands, all my other lifts have improved a great deal. The primary focus on this book is on crushing grip strength ... such as closing a heavy duty gripper. Although it does briefly touch upon other hand strength aspects such as pinch grip, support grip, etc, it is really written with closing the gripper in mind. It is no doubt entertaining and motivating to read. The only thing I wish was they include a little more photos. Majority of this book is text base.Overall, I enjoyed reading this book.

Pretty good info, Re-hashed from some of the greats, but overall just OK
Overall the information in this book is just OK. To me it is much like if one of the guys off the street decided to re hash info from a few of the pros. I ordered this book with a set of Captains of Crush Grippers, straight out of the box I closed the #3, but just couldn't get close on the #4 so I was hoping to get some great coaching from these Gents. Well... All I can say is this is pretty good, but for what I am after it is just OK.

If you want to learn, learn from the best!
There are lots of books on grip strength, but few are written by true grip masters and provide useful, to-the-point information. This is one of those few. As someone who has been actively training with CoC grippers for about 8 years now (admittedly, on and off) and achieved notable progress despite questionable genetic talent and past the prime training age, I found this book to be a real wealth of knowledge. Training routines, muscle rest and relaxation tips, injury prevention notes, and references to Tommy Heslep's experiences, were extremely helpful to learn. Definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to master CoC.

The book is a must for the aspiring hand strength specialist.
The book is filled with such invaluable advice for such a cheap price. The book goes through such depth in the progressions, recovery, nutritional advice, training pitfalls, and more. This is a must as a addition to any athlete or strength enthusiast to their library. I enjoy the book so much that I bought the hard cover after reading the book on Kindle. I will use as a reference for rehabbing old injuries and building super strength in the future. Thanks for putting out such quality material.
