Sennheiser Genuine Adapter Cable Female 1/4" 6.3mm to Male 1/8" 3.5mm Plug for Headphones

You buy one of these if you need to transfer great sound to your mid-range to even higher end headphones which many times come with 1/4" jacks that need reduction. This one is reasonably priced and does the job with no real noticeable difference in sonic degradation.

I recently bought a new Korg Liano, it’s a great lower priced, full 88 keyboard with semi weighted keys. It has USB MIDI IN/OUT, which is great. Also, the back panel includes a Line Out, which in higher end keyboards would consist of a 1/4 inch (6.35mm) TS (mono) or TRS balanced (stereo) male jack, to play through an amp or powered speaker. The Liano has built in speakers but can be played Line out as well, however it’s through the Headphone jack (3.5mm). A headphone jack is smaller and not as robust as the larger, obviously. This chord is a a great benefit to save wear and tear on the installed port. As another review stated, the weight of the inserted 1/4” will be less on contact. Also, it appears well made by a reputable brand.

The 1/4" plug seats smoothly and securely, and the small cable keeps the weight of the 1/4" plug from damaging the 3.5mm socket. The design is perfect.The cheap 1/4" to 3.5mm adapters typically have the entire mass of the 1/4" plug and the adapter prying at the 3.5mm socket. This will damage it over time or very quickly if you bump into it. The cheap adapters also can be rough or excessively tight when plugging in the 1/4" plug.This adapter is sized perfectly for the 1/4" plug to be inserted smoothly and securely, and it is well worth the extra bit of money.

work as expected

The quality of the adapter feels good and heavy. The cable portion is thick and where it attaches to the plugs had nice amount of flex support. It soils work fine with my 1969 Pioneer SE-30 headphones.Another major selling point for me in buying this specific adapter as opposed to the myriad of other cheap ones, is due to it not being made in China as far a I could tell in the ad. Although it doesn't say in the ad, it had a made in Taiwan label on the packaging which is OK for me although Germany would have been nice.

No issues. It works. Makes noise as required through the connection. I haven’t measured the signal to determine the signal to noise ratio, but it sounds good with my gear.

I was using another off brand garbage adapter and I finally got sick of it and purchased this one. It is absolutely fantastic and high quality. Don't buy an off brand cheap adapter, this one is worth every penny.

Does what it's supposed to do. Was worried that it would not fit the headphones plug but perfect I couldn't be happier.
