The book I ordered is of 1000 pages. The packaging was too thin to carry this heavy book. It was made of literally just thin paper whereas you should have provided it in a box.Package was already torn when I received it.

This is one of the best resources I have found on caring for and raising children. Whether you are a new or experienced parent, or like me, a new grandparent looking to catch up on things that have changed since you raised your children, this book is for you. Worth every penny!

This book is a valuable, comprehensive source of information for the health and well being of young children, for adults with little background in child care, medical training, or pediatric psychology/physiology. This book has great diagrams, menu ideas, development milestones, interactive child/adult developmental play ideas and illness identification. I would highly recommend this book for new parents, or anybody interested in caring for young children.

I'm having my first child soon, and I find this book awesome. It's written in a clear and simple language, easy to read and contains all information you might need when learning how to care for your new child. I love that it's written in a matter-of-fact manner, doesn't include personal or subjective opinions. Your pediatrician/obstetrician will tell you the same thing as is written here. The only thing that annoys me is that they keep referring to a baby as a she, and I'm having a baby boy. In their introduction they claim that they alternate between boy and girl pronouns, but I'm on page 100, and they don't. Not a big deal, but seems unfair and inconsiderate.
