The wands, which I make by hand, usually come together in one of three ways. Sometimes I have an idea of how a particular piece should look and just go for it. And other times, I will stand over the mold and can’t do anything. I have to wait. This might go on for one day or sometimes three or four days, even a week, until there is a flow. And then there are the accidents, which often end up being the most amazing pieces. I know I am accessing some kind of ancient knowledge, but I couldn’t accurately verbalize this.
