Rajan and Raju aren't related, but they share the same last name. Rajan Malhotra (Tusshar Kapoor) is the quintessential bookworm, milk-imbibing, steeped in academia, and oblivious to the party scene. On the other hand, Raju Malhotra (Emraan Hashmi) is a misbehaving prankster, who's already been rusticated from three colleges. Both of their parents are severely disappointed in them. But things are about to change. Rajan and Raju frequent the same college, which boasts a stern new principal in Mr. Awasthi (Paresh Rawal), who aims to pro-actively straighten out all the college screw-ups. In a startling and unconvential move, Principal Awasthi breaks up the students into three divisions: the bright ones, the average, and those who most require motivation and discipline. The story's main plot begins when an I.D. card mix-up places the bookish Rajan in the third category and the troublemaker Raju in the "smart" group. Because Raju is interested in Rashmi (Isha Shervani), a girl who's in the smart section, he bullies Rajan into going along with the pretense. It doesn't take long for Rajan, the titular "good guy," to enjoy his new status as he ends up meeting Dinki (Tanushree Dutta), a cute, fun loving girl in his classes who only wants to go to parties. Dinki can't even differentiate between a laboratory and a library. Soon, he's trying to get her to take a deeper interest in her education. But, of course, Rajan also sometimes doesn't mind engaging in "strip study."Meanwhile, Raju, the "bad boy," continues to pursue his nice, intelligent girl, who, unbeknownst to everyone, also happens to be the principal's daughter. She initially wants nothing to do with Raju until Rajan coaches him in all things scholarly; then, she becomes impressed and interested. The plot comes to a head with an inter-collegiate tournament involving a dance and quiz competition. With Rajan as the hoofer and Raju as the button pusher. Can the nerd Rajan tear the roof off with his dance moves? And will the book-challenged Raju be shut out in the quiz-off? Will they make their parents proud? Is this film worth watching long enough to answer those questions? The answer is no. I bought this film, thinking that the premise to this Bollywood campus comedy sounded promising. Ultimately, however, GOOD BOY BAD BOY just isn't a very good movie; it wasted my time, time I could've better spent pondering my belly button or gazing into the distance. I didn't care at all for the two male leads, Kapoor and Hashmi. Tusshar Kapoor, whom I liked in Khakee , was too leaden here, seemingly having channeled TERMINATOR 2's Robert Patrick in terms of stolidness. As for Emraan Hashmi, he and subtlety apparently aren't on speaking terms. Thumbs down on his acting - and he needs a shave.Their love interests, Isha Shervani (Rashmi) and Tanushree Dutta (Dinki), actually fare better in my eyes, although they aren't about to be nominated for any acting awards. But they're easy on the eyes. Paresh Rawal, who normally plays a comedic role, turns in a pretty good, more serious performance here as the Principal, but, it's simply wasted. GOOD BOY BAD BOY ends up capsizing in a cesspool of poor acting, mediocre music, insipid plot situations, and dumbed down dialogue. To top it all off, the sub-titles suck. And whoever did 'em thinks that Einstein's first name is Alfred. For extras, the dvd does offer interviews with the movie's director Ashwini Chaudhary and actors Isha Shervani and Tusshar Kapoor. These Q & A segments should've been somehow incorporated into the film itself as Shervani and Kapoor both display a livelier personality and better line delivery in their interviews. Some advice? If you want to watch GOOD BOY BAD BOY, may I recommend a nose clip? Or a belly button?

Was okay to watch it. Then the "buffering" started at the last 25 minutes of the movie. So I quit.I knew how it was going to end.
