It helps to thicken up recipes for sauces etc.
We use it for a thickening agent for tomato sauce when we are processing a lot of tomatoes. It’s good for other recipes that are to runny a little goes a long way.

How to mix it with something that it would change the test.
It is nice to make the jello but I wish it would explained more the test.

Stronger than other agar
This agar is a very strong gelling powder - much more so than other powders I've tried. It does have a slightly stronger taste though, as well. I use this to make vegan jellied candies and if you add enough flavoring into them, it works fine for that.

Low quality and does not dissolve after pressure cooking
I have been buying this brand for quite some time, this last batch has obviously different ingredients. The powder is a much lighter color and it no longer dissolves correctly after pressure cooking for use in petri dishes. Was left with fully separated chunks. Not sure what they changed but went from 5 star to basically unusable for petri dishes.

Punctured bags
The product is really good but this is at least the second time where I have received a bag that was punctured which resulted in the fine powder getting over everything in the box.
