I use this item at work, stocking shelves in a grocery store, where I have a full size metal box cutter that's quite heavy attached to the retractable key ring, and this thing is able to fully retract that heavy metal box cutter if I just let it go after cutting a box open which is very impressive. After a while it will probably need to be replaced because the spring will obviously eventually lose that retracting Force, but at this price that's not a big deal at all. The round and tapered edge of these ID reels helps to prevent things from getting caught on them as you walk about if you brush your hip up against something and in general they have a lower profile protruding from your belt than the square versions that I've used previously. I'm very impressed with the quality of the round carabiners that they came with, but I wouldn't really recommend using them as depicted because they just barely fit through the belt clip and have a very nice matte metal finish that get scratched pretty badly by the belt clip. The scratches look very obvious due to the matte finish of the caribbeaners, so I would either buy some different ones to use or simply use the belt clip that's already attached to the ID reels as they're pretty sturdy and strong on their own. That might cause them to fall off a bit more than if you had them clipped onto a belt loop with the carabiners, but they have such a nice hefty weight to them that it's easy to notice when/if that happens.

Great badge reel. I wear my electronic key fob, a sharpie, a box cutter, a measuring tape, and my work ID badge on my belt loop/waistline every day at work. The reel my office gave me is flimsy, doesn't retract with the weight I have on it, and is weird-looking when I attach it to my belt loop. I really enjoy this Kaptron mall badge reel, its incredibly sturdy, has a sexy round carbineer, and a regular clip so I can slide it on the waistline of my pants on days I don't have belt loops. My only complaint is that it is very heavy, so it can weigh down the front of my pants. Luckily I'm fat so the pants don't sag, but this might be a problem for folks who wear looser pants or don't have a tummy to hold up their jeans.I don't use the ID/card holders that the badge reels came with, but they are sturdy and high quality. I do appreciate the heavy-duty ID clip (the plastic strip that buttons together) that these reels came with, I am a fidgeter and am often wearing out my plastic ID clip, dropping my ID who knows where. This is strong and reinforced, I will not be losing anything anytime soon.I would say that I'd buy these again, but I don't think I will ever need to!

This is an amazing product, I purchased mine in 2021 and it’s still going strong. My only issue is that if I have it on my pants I must wear a belt OVER it so that it is secured. If I just clip it onto my pants and use it to swipe my badge it will fly off my pants and slam into the wall. And it’s so loud when it hits the wall, there are dents in the walls next to our badge readers.So yes, I would recommend but caution that this thing can be deadly when not secured to your clothes properly.

I am a flight attendant and use a card for parking and to scan in at the airport on a weekly/sometimes daily basis. This holder has been the perfect answer for the times when my ID has to be pulled out to scan the code on the back of the card. I am able to do that quickly, reinsert it and move on with my day. My co-workers grumble because they have to pull their ID out of their plastic cover and ask me repeatedly, "Where did you get that thing?"I came back to buy another one as I have since (brainstorm) added my credit card to the mix so I don't have to get into my work bag/purse every time I buy something. On layovers, it is handy as I throw in my hotel key card and tuck the lanyard into my shirt without having to carry a wallet. Win-win.Upon my return to purchase another, I first did some searching then I realized I had bought it here and searched my order history and voila! the rest is history.The quality is great, I have never lost a card or even worried. I have thus far put 2 cards in each side and am even able to roll up a dollar bill and tuck it between the 2 sides for shuttle driver tip(s). In combination with the retractable cord, it is a perfect solution for me. And this is long after my first purchase, so trust me, it is awesome.

These badge holders work as intended and have been very durable. I have a bad habit of accidentally breaking my retractable badge holders with heavy use at the hospital, and these have solved that problem. I haven't broken one with a few months of use.Wire slides easily, I have never experienced it getting caught.Great purchase!

I was drawn in by the sturdiness. This is a necessity for my job. The only downfall is that the clip is rather difficult to slide onto your waistband or shirt pocket. Additionally, you can feel the tug of this clipped on badge due to the sheer weight of it. Yes, it's sturdy but I found it be a heavier weight to hang from my clothing than I was wanting to tolerate all day. Using the ring clip to attach to the clothing pulls strongly on the clothing as well. These are great for construction workers, survivalists out in the wild, and law enforcement but it turned out to be a bit excessive in weight and comfort for my regular office clothing. I needed something sturdy because I'm tired of the others cracking and/or breaking but these felt like mini bricks in comparison. But they are super sturdy if that's the only thing that matters.

I bought mine for my keys at work.I have to use them alot for loto for my machine wanted something durable seems like it will work out fine.Good price also.

These are fantastic. I am a school teacher and use this lil 25 times a day and it never loses it repeatability. Very good quality and iAlsoLike how it's slight heavier made but not so heavy that it’s not comfortable throughout the whole day. this is definitely a great buy for anyone that needs to access their keys quickly a lot of the time throughout the day.

Doesn’t hang slightly out like cheaper ones.
