Sandalwood at it's prime!!
If you've been seeking out a very good sandalwood cologne/parfum, Tam Dao - in my opinion - is one of the best that I've discovered so far. Granted, it is a bit expensive but viewing it from merely what it has to offer, well, it's most certainly worth it's price. It openly offers a strong and stable stance on it's deeply enriched sandalwood fragrance. From this aspect alone most everyone would find Tam Dao more rewarding than initially expected. My wife was totally surprised with both it's bold scent when first applied and after it's drydown period a very remote but very present scent hours later. Yes, it does hold a bit of mysticism about it via the combination of scents presented through not only it's primary middle note of sandalwood but also it's wonderful blend of both top and base notes. Even so, the manner in which it offers it's wonderful sandalwood fragrance in junction with the rest of the scents present is more than most any one would truly expect. From that is why I highly recommend this to anyone - no one would ever be discouraged!!

Not woody.
As I know So far, Tam dao is woody ScentedI made purchase Eau de parfum , eau de toilette on same day.Eau de parfum was not woody. no sandal wood. just bunch of cosmetic chemical scents.eau de toilette was woody but it was too weak.

The VERY best Sandalwood - NOT overpowering...just GREAT. For men...
LOVE, LOVE this product. The price tag makes it a bit prohibitive, but when you want to treat yourself - go for it!!The smell is woodsy, creamy, very masculine, tiny hints of vanilla, spice, and oak. I use it almost every day, but it's so nice - it's almost a shame to waste it at work. The new, darker brown bottle concerned me at first - don't worry! It's the same fantastic product. Oh, the packaging is over the top too!! All hail TAM DAO!!! A+++

The aroma did not compare to same brand name at department store !!
I feel ripped off ! I walked this bottle into a large department store to have the perfume department judge the aroma. They all said it was not the original scent.

Creamy dreamy sandalwood
Beautiful unisex scent. Very creamy sandalwood. Was the authentic bottle but I specifically ordered through the apothecary so I knew I'd get the real deal.

It's not that good
It's a very bitter opening. I was expecting a sandalwood and it's their, but you have to wait for the dry down to really appreciate it over the harsh opening. I'd suggest a sample before buying
