Bad packaging and unusable product
Product looks as pictured but is not an ideal surface. First off it came in a padded envelope instead of a box and mine had an obvious bend to begin with. I assumed heating it to operating temperature would relax the material and it would lay flat. I was wrong. Flexing the plate to pop the print also deforms the plate and it will never lay flat again. So pretty much i wasted over $40 on a plate that I cant print on. The edges are rounded off by what appears to be a 1st grader with an angle grinder and leaves a finish and uniformity that is very poor quality. All in all I am very displeased with this waste of money and wouldn't recommend this product to anyone concerned about maintaining layer height, quality, or consistency.

LOVE this product
LOVE this product!! Parts are removed much easier from the 3D printer... Also part warpage has decreased quite a bit with using this product. Would buy it again!!

Zebra plate has some Pros and Cons
Pro:Large prints can be easily removed from the plate.Surface under the print is smooth. No tape neededCons:Not as flat at the build plate. Has high and low spots that show up on the 1st layer. This is probably the cause of almost all the other cons.Gap must be set very tight to get it to stick. Compared to blue tape.Large prints warp like a MOFO.Small prints can be really hard to remove because the flexing is not enough to break the bond.

Not recommended for Makerbot Rep 2
Its ok, I would not recommend this to my other "Maker" friends. I use it with my MakerBot Rep 2 so I am using it with PLA.The plate varies in thickness: 4.22 mm front left 4.10 mm front right 4.29 mm rear left 4.15 mm rear rightmeasurements were made 2 cm inside each corner section as this would constitute viable build surface. May not seem like a big deal but that is almost 2 build layers from front right to rear left corner. Can be compensated for by using raft but this plate was to make it so build adhered better to the build surface. Seems a tall order for a physical surface with variations in thickness that high.

Better than BuildTak in every way (...other than time it takes to tweak your printer)
My review is based on my experience with a Zebra build plate cut for a RepRap-style printer with a 250x250cm heated build plate and auto-Z-level sensor, requiring trimmed corners to account for the bed-leveling screws. I purchased my indirectly from their website as those dimensions were not available; I contacted them through their website and was in an email discussion with Wayne at PRINTinZ in less than 2 hours, ultimately resulting in me ordering a custom-cut plate from them.As far as my review goes, 4 of the 5 stars is from the product itself; you MUST read their website, and take the time to adjust your printer to the added bed height, change of temps, etc. (which *will* include messed-up prints; like any change to a 3D printer, don't expect perfection out-of-the-box!) Once you've got that all worked out, however, I'd say this stuff is as good as BuildTak as far as "stickiness" goes, and the fact that you can sand it down several times when you damage it with your nozzle and/or get a stuck print (which will happen sooner or later, right?) increases the value. Granted, if you run it too hard you're going to ruin it, but the same goes for any print surface. I actually wanted it because of the flexibility, as I'm using a high-lubricity steel nozzle and a variety of exotic filaments, requiring all sorts of different nozzle+bed temps and constant tweaking, and with BuildTak I simply experienced too many cases of stuck prints that *could* have come off if the plate was flexible. So if you like BuildTak but want flexibility, right there's a reason to buy one of these plates (from Amazon or from their website, depending). The 5th star I give because of customer service: for reasons unknown, my plate warped after about a weeks-worth of use, causing all sorts of problems. I contacted the company and Wayne again responded quickly, and although after running some tests and going over my use of the plate we were not able to determine positively what had happened (i.e. had I done something wrong that I couldn't account for and/or was it just an unlucky case of a "dud" plate?), he still said he'd send me a replacement plate, free of charge. Although I could have gone through other channels to get my money back if I'd really wanted to, the fact that I didn't have to do so - and better yet, was able to get another try with the plate, something that I had enjoyed up until "things went wrong" - speaks volumes about the company. Assuming I don't get a dud again (which I don't at all expect to happen), I won't hesitate to purchase additional plates in the future for any new printers that I buy.So: should you buy this product? If you're having problems getting your prints to stick and are also smart enough to be patient and "re-tune" your printer to account for the change, by all means, give this a try! Were you thinking about buying BuildTak because tape wasn't good enough? Spend your money on this plate first; it does what BuildTak does (IMO), but with flexibility as a very nice bonus. About the only reason I can think of to not buy this vs. BuildTak is if you are really good at *not* running your nozzle across your build plate accidentally but need something to help with print adhesion. If that's the case then BuildTak will probably be easier to set up. But, even then, as the owner of both, at this point in time I still say that this Zebra plate is better than BuildTak if you take the pros and cons of each into account.

The right surface for printing
I have four of these and they have been on heavy rotation for the past 2 yrs. This IS the right way to go. Forget about tape or hairspray!
