weird texture, but it really works
at first I hateddddd the texture of this. it's very silicone-y but it's because there's no water in the formula and it's honestly probably for the best because it makes it more stable. and as much as I dislike the feel of it, this is the only vitamin c aside from the derma-e one that I feel like makes a difference to how my face looks. but you have to use it as it's written: the step immediately after washing and drying your face, then let it sit for a couple of minutes so the silicone-y texture goes away, then follow with the rest of your skincare routine. if you don't let it sit before putting stuff on top it *will* pill 100%, but this is when I usually brush my teeth and that's enough time for me. hateeee the sensory aspect of it, but it goes away if you use it the right way and it really is a great serum, so this will be a grumpy reorder once I run out lol

The perfect vitamin c formulation!
If you have oily/combo skin and struggle with finding an l-asorbic acid that isn’t tacky and shiny, this is for you. I think all skin types can benefit for this as you can layer anything with this with no issues. You have to use it on a cleansed and dried face then let it settle for a few minutes before moving on to the next step. This resolves a lot of issues with vitamin c - it’s stable, easy to use, not sticky/shiny/oily, and has a bunch of added ingredients for antioxidant and brightening. It’s perfect!

Great addition to skin care regimen
Love this product. I can tell a noticeable difference after using it for a few weeks.

Incredibly Effective Serum... And a Hassle to Incorporate into Routine
This vitamin C is formulated without water, making it shelf stable for much longer than most vitamin C serums. It will lighten sunspots and protect from future damage when used daily. However, the things that make it so stable also make it a hassle to use. The formulation requires application to perfectly dry skin and then a waiting period of around 5 minutes for the base to evaporate out, leaving the vitamin c behind. For me, this waiting period added to the waiting period required for sunscreen (sunscreen also needs about 5 minutes of time after application to form a film) felt too long for a normal morning routine.Other positives: very affordable for such a stable, effective product; lightened a dark spot that other serums haven't been as effective on; has no scentOne other negative: sometimes this product tingles/burns on application

Better than ce ferulic acid
Switched to this from skinceuticals ce ferulic acid and am much more happy with it. Amazing product!

Blown away by this product
I have dry sensitive skin with a few acne scars and comedones from months ago. I used this product for just two days and I already see major improvement on my acne. No tingling except in broken skin and absolutely no irritation. Trust me when I say this. My skin is sensitive even to some of the gentlest ingredients like centella and Niacinamide in high percentages. But l-ascorbic acid doesn't irritate me at all, especially this serum and Dr.Brenner.I love that this serum has both water soluble, as well as fat soluble antioxidants, giving you complete protection. This has 10% l-ascorbic acid, 5% THD, and 0.5% Q10. Not easy to formulate these three together. If you use water to dissolve l-ascorbic acid, it will make the product oxidize faster. If you use oil to dissolve THD, it may break you out. Using silicones is a genius move stabilizing all three ingredients, while also extending it's shelf life by a year, while leaving behind nothing but the ingredients on your skin after application. It also comes in an airless packaging, which further extends it's shelf life. It has no fragrance or denatured alcohol or essential oils, which is sensible.I also love the novel application of it. It goes on like a cream, but the silicones evaporate in few minutes, leaving behind nothing but the active ingredients. But you gotta give it few minutes before you go in with a moisturizer. People who are complaining about breakouts probably didn't wait for the silicones to evaporate.Love this product. Will definitely repurchase.

So-So Meh
I'm not really sure how to feel about this serum. I have seen some improvement...but in all honesty, I am 48 and wasn't really using anything for my skin before I started using Stratia C+C. I figure I should see at least some improvement with the use of any product compared to nothing; right? After an entire month of use, I have seen and felt my skin become much softer but have not seen any changes in hyperpigmentation issues, blemish fighting, or firming. Achieving a 1 out of 4 claims is not a great track record imo. Many people will not necessarily like the smell of this product either. I don't mind it at all though. It's very earthy.

Love this and have repurchased
This is very similar to a product I paid $80 for. I love it and use it daily. I bought it for my four daughters for Christmas.
