Beaver Brand Cocktail Sauce, 13-Ounce Squeezable Bottle

I did not like the taste. I've never had cocktail sauce mention specifically that it was made with horse radish on the label before. Cocktail sauce should be spicy, but this stuff really tasted weird. I wouldn't say it was all that spicy either. Just kinda funky, not sure if it went bad or thats just the normal taste. If you are looking for the typical cocktail sauce taste look elsewhere. If you are looking for something unusual, this fits the bill. Maybe I should return it......update:I looked up some cocktail recipes and found out horseradish is perfectly normal ingredient. Later, I got amazon to replace it, and the next batch was much better, like what cocktail sauce is supposed to taste like. Somehow I just got a bad batch. I opened several jars and they all were the same, maybe it got left in the heat for a while... sped up the spoilage process; it wasn't expired though. So if anyone wants to, go ahead and try it out. It should be OK and amazon replaced it for me at no cost.

Sometimes I wonder when people write rave reviews about a product such as this if there is an agenda other than to convey the experience or somehow the pulled up a different product? the subject says it - This is nasty, nasty stuff.Insult to injury there are a good number of preservatives and gums and even caramel coloring that go into this runny, off-color, and amazingly bland while at the same time bitter goo. I can think of no reason ever to purchase this or to inflict it on anyone else.In fairness please note Beaver brand does carry a Deli Mustard that is the best we've come across. -It has great texture and bold flavor that puts the perfect tang to just about anything that comes on a bun! It is great with Polska-Kielbasa and Sour Kraut too.

This is the best cocktail sauce we have found. Has a great zippy taste with a bit or horseradish. We live in Alaska so we eat alot of seafood. We have found this sauce is great when using fresh shrimp from the area. My kids like it so much that we ordered the six pack to split between us! This product is great and so is the Beaver Tartar sauce and many of the Beaver mustard. Give it a try, I know you will like it!

This is perhaps the worst cocktail sauce I have ever tasted. There is a bitter taste to it I don't know if its bad or if this is what it is supposed to taste like.

Very spicy. A lot of horseraddish. Kind of bitter.

Needs more of a kick. Gunna stick with horseradish and katchup

Beaver makes a really good tartar sauce. So when I opened the cocktail sauce my mouth was watering. Not expired. It's taste is off. Almost rancid.Unfortunately, I do not recommend this product but definitely would their dill tartar sauce.
