We do a ton of cooking at home, and a lot of our recipes call for ginger, garlic, spice or chilli pastes. Plus, our kids love fruit popsicles in the summer. Here were the options:1) Buy store bought - Not only more expensive, but they also add a ton of preserving agents (salt, vinegar, etc.). FAIL!2) Make a batch at home, and freeze it in smaller containers or popsicle molds - This works well, but when you need to put a table or teaspoon in your recipes, good luck getting it out of your container unless you thaw it. Also, the popsicle molds are too big in my opinion (too much sugar). Semi-fail!3) Freeze it in ice trays - This would be perfect, but the ice tray size was bigger, and with pungent spices, the smell seeped into the plastic. Semi-fail again because we couldn't reuse it for popsicles. We could buy dedicated trays, but have a small freezer so this does not work.The perfect alternative would be: smaller sized ice trays (about a teaspoon sized capacity), made of a food grade, neutral material and easy to clean. I looked to Lucentee (because of previous experience with their excellent spatulas), and lo and behold, they also make candy mold & ice cube silicon trays!So I ordered a set and boy, did this product deliver:1) Almost perfect size - About a teaspoon of product goes in each. So each tray is about 15 teaspoon worth of paste or fruit puree. If you are making popsicles, this is the ideal size (in my opinion) if you are trying to watch how much sugar you eat.2) Easy to pop out - I make a batch and after freezing, just pushed on the bottom of the tray to get the ice cube out. It was extremely easy and takes no effort. After freezing them, we store our spice cubes or popsicles in freezer zip lock bags.3) Food grade material - The material is soft which contributes to the easy pop out. Plus, the spice smell doesn't leech so you can re-use it again and again.4) Bright colors and cute shapes - My kids love it! We made different shaped fruit mini popsicles (food process choice of fruit with a touch of sugar, and a few drops of lemon) to beat the summer heat. It was super fun to make blueberry hearts, strawberry stars, and blackberry sea shells.All in all, this is a fantastic product that will get continuous use in our household. Whether you are making popsicles, spice cubes, candy or wax candles, this product does it all. Go for it, HIGHLY recommended.

For Valentine's Day I thought it would be a nice idea for my son and I to make his Valentine gifts. So I searched Amazon and though, Hey! What a deal. So I went ahead and purchased these. I read the reviews prior so I was aware that the molds were small which I thought were perfect. I love the fact that they can be used for an abundance of purposes both hot or cold which really gives one a bang for their buck, you really cannot beat the price. Upon arrival, we opened them and began cutting up some of my son's crayons. He choose to do hearts and shells. We used all different colors of non-toxic crayons. They came out lovely! The were small enough for little hands to use which gets some nice occupational therapy in by allowing children to practice their pencil grasps with these small crayons. I baked the crayons at 250 degrees for about 20 minutes and let them sit for about an hour to harden. The crayon popped out easily and neatly, in one piece. I have not used the molds for any other substances yet, and unfortunately one of the crayon colors I used stained them but that's ok. I washed it with clorox but the color stayed on. I am highly satisfied with the overall quality, appearance, cost and customer service for this product. The representatives contacted me on two occasions to insure I was satisfied. Which I am!

These are great! This is my first foray into using silicone molds of any kind. I bought them to make flavored ice treats using oral hydration solution (for someone who was going through a rough time staying hydrated and couldn't drink just anything at the time) as well as for use with making chocolates. The size of these molds is a little large for even an adult mouth, especially a frozen ice treat (soooo cold!), but as ice "cubes" that cool a drink they would be fine. I still use them to make chocolates from high quality chunks of couverture dark chocolate after tempering. Now that I finally understand chocolate tempering (thanks, YouTube!) I convert our couverture chunks into beautifully molded shapes that look great and keep for a long time.Popping out the molded items is as easy as poking up from the bottom until the mold is inside out. Clean up is also a breeze with these, but note that these should be hand-washed only. Be sure to get chocolate and other foods out of every corner of these molds by soaking in warm water and gently rubbing any areas needed some friction. Then be sure they completely air dry before using again. Have fun with these!

I have ordered these twice in the last 4 months and gotten similar but different products each time. The first set I ordered, sold by Kaufman & Harris and the brand is Lucentee, are hands down the best silicone anything I own in this price range. They are thick and sturdy and have held up to all the unintended craft uses. I would easily have paid double for this quality.When I wanted a set for food I reordered, this time sold by Miren. This set was thin and flimsy as one AND they are not as deep as my first set. They look functional for their intended purpose though. I wanted to make sugar cubes and the silicone stretches and caves on itself too much be be able to pack in the sugar. Again, they are probably fine for most candy applications but not up for the abuse I put the ones from the other seller through.I have noticed this trend with other silicone molds (the design is sold to lots of manufacturers who each slightly modify the design and materials) that are then sold under the same listing. For < $10 I do not know if I will send the second set back but just be aware that a lot of the 5 star reviews may be for a slightly different product than you will receive.
