Perfect!
This is the best semolina I've used so far. It is really thin and has wonderful taste.

Perfect for some items that require the semolina. This isn’t too coarse.
Worked great for my pasta, it’s been a long time since I’ve made it. This worked out super! A bit spendy for flour but was worth it.

Organic
Caputo Antimo Di Grano Duro Rimacinata Semolina Flour. Some reviews mentioned stale date and bug contamination. I’m disappointed. My bag expires in 5 months and appears to be bug free. One batch of pasta uses half a bag so I’ll need to work fast 😎 Back in the olden days all flour had bugs. Bugs live on plants and some survive milling. That led to the bug phobic invention of the flour sifter. Buy one - use it. If you just happen to bake a bug, it’s just extra protein. The latest "added protein" ultra processed food rage uses ground meal worms to provide the "added protein". Our Ancestors didn’t die. Neither will we ….. Yeast is actually a bacteria. Will you stop eating bread? Cheese is actually moldy milk. O.M.G.🤪 Red Yogurt used to contain "Carmine for Color". Carmine is actually a code name for roasted ground cochineal bugs. Vegans were furious 🤮

All natural no roundup italian semolina flour. It arrived today and it's already opened with a sourdough starter set up. Looking forward to baking some clean healthy bread in the dutch oven soon! Yummy

Brown little critters in the Semola Bag
I purchased both the double 00 semola flour (Caputo Brand, highly rated for the pasta making) recently. I have just posted a separate post about the double 00 flour that came with some worms in the bag of the flour (white, very small, about 1/4 of an inch or smaller in length and it was moving) and this Semola bag shocked me when I opened it that it had brown bugs crawling. There were two on the top when I opened. I don't know how many are in the whole bag so I am going to have to throw the whole things away but I don't know, if this is common in Italian flour? I have them in zip lock bugs on my counter, now that I know both bags appear to have live things crawling. I am throwing them away but the company does not offer any returns or refunds. I do have a video of the brown things crawling in the Semola Bag but I would withhold the video unless the seller wants to see it. I was SOOOO excited about getting serious with the pasta making and I enjoyed it wit just the King Arthur brand all purpose flour last week. If trying to get Italian flour that is not dressed with little bugs is difficult, I may just not try that again. I would love to hear from others who purchased this brand of flour. I am hoping that this is not a common thing. But It is odd that my purchase (Semola and double 00 both ended up with live creatures).
