The media could not be loaded.  Amazing product for the cost. I have always loved music and instruments I have many, but I was kind of bored with what I have. I have been looking for a new and different instrument but all of the instruments I want are too pricy. I have heard of the Kalimba all my life but I never looked into it until a month ago and I fell in love with the sound. I searched on amazon and was amazed to find out how cheap I could get one. So on a whim I bought this one a few days ago no hesitation. I started watching before you buy videos on YouTube and then came instant regret all of them said “DO NOT BUY A CHEAP ONE THEY DO NOT WORK” and that got me scared and anxious for its arrival seeing as it’s only 27 dollars. When it came I was almost hesitant to open it. Well when I did I was pleasantly surprised. This is the best thing I could have used my money one. I’m not a instrument snob so I have no clue if this is a good instrument or not but it sounds so pretty, it’s easy to tune, and easy to play! It comes with a tuning hammer witch is fantastic, it also comes with a cleaning cloth, two silicone finger protectors (witch are made for smaller fingers), a few stickers that Are supposed to aid in learning, a velvet protection bag, a starter booklet witch is very helpful, and last a cute carry case to keep it safe while traveling. If you are not sure how to tune the thing there are so many videos on how to do it but I just use a monochromatic tuner that I got for my phone and tune it accordingly. This thing tunes so easy and stays in tune well. So happy with my purchace.

This African musical instrument is very elegant and precious, to any who can play a simple tune. The materials involved in its creation was excellent, without any scratches or marks. I started playing the Kalimba without any necessary lessons and usually surprises my ears. It relates to the piano instrument, but on a much smaller scale and number of keys. Each key of this Kalimba expresses unique sound and trues for the complete novice. The late Maurice White (Earth, Wind, and Fire) utilized this small and yet very powerful piano with various songs he composed. I have periodically picked up this instrument and sometimes create my own tunes, without even looking at its 17 keys scale. A great gift and token item of African history and enjoyment.

I have a smaller thumb piano that I keep on my desk to play with if I am stuck on a phone call and bored, but after watching these adorable youtube videos where the owner plays songs to their dog (AcousticTrench is their name on YouTube if you want to see the cute videos that prompted me to buy this; they linked one on Amazon that they use, but I bought this one instead), I had to get a bigger one so I could learn the songs. It came as pictured, with a decent amount of extras I wasn't even expecting. Everything was packaged nicely. It sounds great straight from its bag (which is of good quality). I can't wait to start learning and quit plunking at my old one! Totally recommend!

This african kalimba not only is a small instrument that can fit in many places, but it sounds amazing as well. People who are looking for an instrument that is easy to play should choose this over anything else. It’s made out of good quality wood and fits comfortably on my hands. The sound is better than i expected and has a clear tone on every single note. I bring this kalimba with me when I go on hikes out in nature and sounds very soothing. Definitely can be a great gift to anybody regardless of the age. Very nice!

I bought this budget kalimba with my gecko brand curly maple kalimba. Was going to return one and kept them both. This kalimba sounds better than the higher priced gecko brand curly maple kalimba. All the keys including the end tines - high notes have sound. It was a lot cheaper than all the gecko brand kalimbas. The only downfall is that the tines are not as physically smooth as the more expensive kalimba brands, ie, gecko, Lingting and will file down your thumbnails fast if you play too long. Otherwise, incredible sounding kalimba!!

Great!! Had to tune it a little but got an free app for that. There is only one song in the manual so I recommend getting another song book (just bought one off Amazon) I did google some sheet music for darth vader song and game of thrones theme music. To my surprise I can play both slowly still but for someone who has only played a recorder in elementary school 20 yrs ago, I think that is pretty good 😂 took me about 5 days of practice !

I got this for our son who collects musical instruments. It has a nice sound and it's pretty much impossible to make it sound discordant. For this reason ( as well as the price) it would make a nice instrument for a child to play around with (without driving everyone in the house to distraction.). It even looks nice enough you won't mind if they leave it laying around the house.
