This a great buy for the price. I was surprised by how sturdy it is. My only complaint is the same as everyone’s else here ... the clips are terrible. It takes some work to get them in. I’m hoping they get easier as they get used more and become worn. Delivery was pretty quick too. I wasn’t expecting to be delivered for a couple of weeks and it came within a week. Lastly, because of covid-19 it’s been difficult to find 1” plates for the bar. I just happen to have some already from a set of dumbbells. So the max weight I’m using the bar with right now is 42lbs. Since that is all I have.

Solid bar, good weight to it. The knurls are a little sharp but don't hurt. First time I used a curl bar, started out by adding 10lbs and ended up doing an extra 2 reps no sweat. Also is good on the back, I did not do any big bends backward. The bar is extremely comfortable on the wrists. I use it also for bench press, the middle curve lets me lower the bar down to the neck and drop arms below chest. It is also good for squats but I do front squats with straight bar, at least for now. There seemed to be a thin film of oil on the bar to stop rust, so I washed it with some 409, to help keep the clips in place. Two spring clips were included. The picture here shows flat spot in the middle, there is no flat spot, it is U shape in the center. The width is overall 47", straight line, curves not measured. This is a great bar, using short dumb bells for curls is horrible on the elbow, I had elbowitis for a year.

This bar is exactly like you would expect for a small bar (1" diameter, not Olympic size). Best of all was that they included two small bar clamps with it, but there is no mention of them in the ad copy. I almost bought some when I bought the bar but I thought I could dummy up something to hold the plates in place. Kudos to the seller for this nice extra. And to those who asked, this is a solid steel bar with knurling for the hand-grip positions. Thanks for a good product.

A great bar. Before I bought this, I had a Gold's Gym E-Z Curl bar which I purchased from Wal-Mart. The Gold's Gym bar not only had a weird curve to it which made it difficult to use (my hands couldn't fit into the u-shaped bends, and I have small hands), but the threaded bar with the screw-on end caps was very annoying. In the workout program I'm doing, you need to switch weights quite often, and the threaded end caps made it a chore. So, I returned that bar and bought this one for the same price. A much better value. The bar is curved like a normal E-Z Curl bar, and the spring clips make changing weights easy and quick.I'm glad that I didn't order spring clips with mine, because I saw some people saying that they weren't included. Mine came with spring clips in the box, ready to use.

Although it did take a little bit since im overseas I was so excited to see that we finally got it! Took about two weeks but overall super happy with how well its made, I guess I didn't read the description correctly but it came with little clamps. So that was definitely a PLUS! The only thing i could complain about is i didn't realize it was a 1inch bar but thats my fault! Ill just buy plates to fit it no biggie! I would definitely recommend this bar for your home gym!

At the time I ordered, it was really hard to find good options at this price. This is a great, solid bar for light to medium loads, and has been awesome for my strength endurance training. According to other reviews it will work for heavier loads, but I haven't tried this since the bar is not straight. The bar itself adds about 10lb which is great. I thought the clips were fine, but may take a strong grip to easily open and move. Works with 1 inch plates. Very happy I got this!

I dislike bars that don't use threaded spin on collars. Not the bar's fault. The bar is good if you like pinch clamps. Not sure why I bought this in the first place. Likely it was available and not being gouged on price.

I’ve loved this bar since the minute I got it. Mine came with collars that still haven’t given out on me for the three years or so that I’ve had it. It’s a great bar to start a life long habit. I thought that one day I would have to upgrade my bar to an Olympic size weight bar but I still use this just as much as when I started! Overtime it will get a patina coating which is basically just a bit of rust from use so do your best to maintain it. I totally recommend this!

I've been using this barbell for a few months and I'm pretty happy with it so far. At the end of the day it's just a barbell, but I haven't had any problems with rust or anything like that. I'm only using it to lift light weights, maybe 100 pounds was the most that I've added to it, and it has been able to handle that without problems. If you're looking for a cheap, reliable standard barbell, then this one is certainly recommended.

This is a great bar for the price. Has a nice weight to it and seems to be very strong. I purchased this as an addition to our home gym. I have some previous injuries in my wrists, and using an e-z curl bar instead of a standard straight bar helps to alleviate a lot of discomfort, allowing me to lift heavier weights.

Ordered this from the Amazon warehouse. Package arrived a little beat up, but the bar is in excellent condition and also came with spring collar clips which I wasnt expecting. Awesome. If you're into lifting this is a pretty good purchase. It certainly gets the job done, if you are looking for home gym pieces.
