this is such a unique item that there really is no others like it. It allow you to place the sensor at non-powered location that's quite a distance from the light bulb. It solves a very unusual lighting requirement that many people may never need, but when you do, you can't find it anywhere. Very happy that this company made this product for such a small market.

Bought this with the lx-318 extra receiver to convert two light fixtures in my garage to motion sensing. Works nicely. Be sure to look for the instructions included with the packaging. I almost threw mine out because it was tucked between the cardboard. Also because this will extend the length that your bulb projects out make sure your fixture can accommodate this. You will have to pair any extra receivers (up to eight) with the transmitter. Was concerned about whether it could receive through an enclosed fixture but all is working nicely. Will update this if I experience any long term problems.

I found the instructions to be incomprehensible after three readings. I called tech support and a nice lady walked me through the process of "programming" the unit which means marrying the motion detector component to the receiver which is the part that plugs into the poweer on one end and the light bulb on the other. It is not clear why this is required, especially so as one of the three separate instruction sheets that comes with this kit quite clearly says "all the units in the lighting kit have been pre-programmmed at the factory." This is totally false; you must go through a convoluted process that involves switching from one set of instructions to another.Once I was able to do this, I discovered that the motion sensor component did not sense motion. It turned the light on, and never turned it off. This may be because of the settings, which you change by moving "jumpers". But no setting was ever able to work for me.I returned this item. After my frustrating experience with the horrendous instructions, I would not buy another product from this manufacturer.

It's easy to install and although we had to make adjustments to get the sensor in the right position we are well pleased with the product. We have the timer set for 5 minutes which is more than adequate since it comes on if it detects motion. We like that it uses CFL bulbs, which add to the savings.I researched th item before I purchased it and Amazon had the best price.

So far, so good. The kit works well but could require a little adjustment. I bought two kits. The first works right out of the box. The other requires a mode toggle adjustment. If there is a light switch to control the light where the transmitter is installed to, be sure to toggle to off mode on the transmitter. This does two things. First, when the light switch is turned on, the transmitter is in the off mode. Second, once the transmitter is in the off mode, the motion/light sensor will turn the light on or off. The sensor will have no effect if the transmitter is in the on mode.

Bought in April 2016. October stopped working. Other reviews are SO TRUE - this is almost impossible to program. I unscrewed the bulb to find the plastic was melted on one side. Don't buy.

This product did not work for me. It has only two modes: on and off, making it useless. I followed all instructions perfectly.....several times.....with no luck. This is not a user error, just a bad product. Also, despite what "Anne" said in the Q&A section, it clearly says on the screw-in dimmer that this device is to be used indoors only. Who would buy this device to use indoors? Really? Why make an obsolete product? Don't Buy!

This works exactly as you would want it to. I encourage you to use this a s a simple solution for a security light.

Works great - have it set up as a light outside the front door, and also paired to another sensor at the gate. This way when someone at the gate is there the light switches on, and also when leaving for work in the am. It did take three phone calls to tech support to get it working, but I'm happy to say al is good now.

Fantastic addition to my outside security, I didn't have to swap my matching lamps to a sensor lamp as this device takes care of adding motion and daylight señor to any fixture. Great product.

So far, it is working as expected. Sensitivity seems good for my short driveway.
