USB Cable for Sony NW-A55, NW-A55HN, NW-A55L, NW-A56, NW-A56HN, NW-A57 Walkman - Sync & Charge Cable

I was surprised by how thick and robust this cable is. This feels solidly built.

I needed a cable for my Sony hi-res Walkman and bought one from a different vendor for £7-99. I kid you not, the thing fell apart on my first go. Then I saw this one for half the cost of the original. It was like comparing apples to grapes. The quality was excellent. It was thicker, longer and had a suppression ring to boot! It was so good I bought the company/ not quite, but I did buy a second.

I ordered this cable to replace the Sony original which I'd left in a hotel room. The cable wouldn't charge from a regular USB socket and even though the charging light came on on the Walkman when the cable was plugged into my laptop, all that happened was the Walkman battery discharged!Returned for a refund which came through quickly, hence the two stars. I bought a more expensive cable which works perfectly.

Faulty

The cable is useless, does not even see my player despite trying the cable on a different pc. The effect on the player once connected to the cable causes lockups and crashes the player. My device is fine and works without issue on the sony supplied cable.I have contacted the seller but so far have heard nothing back. It just feels like lets take your money and ignore issues that arise.
